Ninja Grrl is obviously a much better conversationalist than Junpei ever dreamed of being

I'm still betting Ninja Grrl is Junpei Grandma rather than Junpei Sister. But I suppose we'll find out when Yaku and Junpei get there. That should be fun.

Having not seen it yet, I'd think 'family compound' may be inhabitated by a few more or less related families (though I suspect this comes from reading way too much Chinese manhua recently) therefore the Grrl may be actually not directly related to Junpei at all...

So Ninja Grrl and Junpei are "childhood Friends"?

Looks like that contract got 'reassigned'. Or else put out to general bidding.

I dunno, if they were similar age I'd say so. But with the veils on their faces, who knows. Oh pardon, Fred knows ^^

Emergency termination order from Head Ninja...

That’s not the first time Miho’s gotten goosed since Kimiko started acting as her.

Even if Kimiko was back to herself by the time she and Piro started getting busy in the shower, she was still acting while they made out in the car. Are they the ones doing this to Miho? Because...shit, that’s not fair at all.

At least Junpei and Yaku are en route to keep Miho from getting murdered by Grandma.

Unfair...and damn creepy. And a major factor in the story. This new phenomena is quite a twist. I just wonder if Stability knew this could happen or if the contract they have out on Miho was a general panic reaction. Junpei didn't seem to know; this is going to blindside everyone and unravel the world.
At least Junpei and Yaku are en route to keep Miho from getting murdered by Grandma.
They are now almost certainly going to have to take Miho to Kimiko. Ping the Catalyst will be there too.

Yikes.

I have suspicions that Junpei isn't in Ninja Grrls class. He's good but she's better.

Yeah she said so even. Like, no one can catch me, even Junpei, and he is really fast.

One more reason to think Grrl is not 'blood related' to Junpei, different family tree altogether.

EDIT having now seen the new comic....

WOW, sad Miho eyes in panel 7, gotta be in top 5 I've seen, like, ever.

ALSO had to look up 'goosed' (EINMFL) ... rhyming slang sure is fun. mhh.

More likely to have been one of Masamichi's superiors. People tend to not like it whenever Fred inserts them into the comic. I wouldn't want to wish that fate on even TWB :D

(sry for doublin' down on posts)

Ohshi... now you're, like, inspired me to go back and see if there is any evidence of Miho and Kimiko sharing some (opposite?) experiences at similar times... thank. you. very. much. i. will. enjoy. :)

Although, it doesn't seem that evident from what I remember so far; this isn't their first contact (the free pass to CoE was given out baaaack then, there was some 'feeling down lately' on Kimiko's side when Miho had fainting spells... but otherwise Miho seems to be more linked to Piro's emotions that way, than to Kimiko's... errr.. maybe... it's the sign of the last remanence of Miho in his heart we're seeing going out ?...)

Hmm, wonder if news of Junpei refusing the termination order has already gotten out, and the order was passed to the next handy agent; or (more likely now that I think about it) the order was a general one to begin with and they don't much care who takes Miho out first.

Wait, so an "analogue", which is a "real thing", is one who exists "more as a character than a real person"? That hurts my brain almost as much as the Stonehenge is not a henge thing. (Also "goosed", which google assures me is more or less "poked in the butt" as I originally thought, but they seem by panels 6+7 to be talking about it as something to be "enjoyed" -- in contrast to panel 3 where it is expected to result in the victim being too "creep[ed ...] out to talk about it". Actually no, I am gonna file that one under "I probably don't want to know, thanks.")

I gotta say, all of this, "guess I'll kill you, na just kidding I won't, oh actually yeah I'mma kill ya now" back and forth "teasing" has me less willing than ever to buy into the "Ninjagrrl is actually Ninja grandma" theory (which I always found vaguely fishy). If she's still "teasing" here and about to flip back to "no not really", then I kinda don't see the point of the teasing. (Informing her "look there's a termination order out for you"? but she should be able to guess Junpei would already have told Miho about that.) On the other hand if this is the ground state, and she really is planning on trying to carry out the order, then the "teasing" has kind of a nasty overtone to it ("I will pretend to hear out your troubles but I was gonna kill you anyway"). But I am in the minority on too many of these things as it is at the moment so I don't have much more to say in that direction anyway.

EDIT:
@TWB, below: "Stop playing with your food, Gazelle, and kill this %^@ #^%@^!!!"

EDIT2:
(minor expansion on what exactly I found confusing about the "goosed" usage regardless of which UD number definition is actually germane)

Do your job, Nabiki... this is why we objectify our targets... so we can pull the trigger. Rather than regret not acting fast enough to stop the enemy from killing our own.

No it's coo, the urban dictionary has all sorts of explanations :J
Number 5 looks to me like it is the most fitting (and imho, saddest :J )

+1 on Ninja Grrl not being Grandma or Junpei's sis.

Pro-tip: Ninja Grrl really wouldn't feel the least bit bad at all about any killing that she may be required to do. She's the sort that'd put poison in your Viagra timed to give you a heart attack before the "Happy Ending" and snicker about it later

I think the 1 through 5 are what make it a dubious word; therefore interesting for Forum discussion.
Explanation 6 seems the more likely one to be meant — to my limited (edition) understanding.

Also seems more sad than 5, to me.

oh 6 is, well saddest of them all, as in, yeah it's real sad when this really happens...

I meant 5 to have been saddest as 'most fitting Miho's 'situation''.

Curious. Is this grrrrl serious. Or is it just more testing. If it ever was a test.

Well, she ninjagrlll suggests she knows Junpei. Maybe that's not true. If it is, given a lot of other things, she could potentially be Junpei's 'mom who probably knows' or 'grandma who would tease' 1471 Or maybe sister or friend or cousin or other inhabitant. If not true maybe she's a rival ninja who's infiltrated the compound to carry out a semi-public contract. Although maybe infiltration of other ninja compound not allowed for ninja? So this could be anywhere from some merc group to another Analogue who's better at acting out a ninja role. Well, that's all kind of a dead end at this point.

Likely though, this is somebody who belongs there and is really a ninja, right?

Part of that might depend on how safe this place is actually supposed to be, and for whom.

Given the way she starts questioning Miho in 1473 she's trying to figure something out, and that's not seemingly at that time if she should kill Miho or not or because she feels she needs to protect anyone. Superspeed dressing Miho up in 1472 doesn't seem to much fit that sort of thing at least. Although that could just depend on the exact nature of what's going on in 1484. Saved by a decision not to do anything or never in any real danger or something else.

As far as that order. It may seem logical, may even be true, that 'head ninja gave Junpei emergency termination order'. But 1447 what he said in response to "Get 'er someplace safe." was A. Miho cause of great disturb, emergency termination order given, very serious. B. To remove and save Miho he must disobey direct order from Head Ninja.

Not necessarily the same or only order.

It would seem that direct order was to carry out the emergency termination (which according to Meimi would be, once again, killing Miho, as she apparently hasn't been ) but it would also seem the emergency termination order itself is not from head ninja. Perhaps also head ninja order wasn't directed to only Junpei. Meaning that it could be all ninja, and that other heads of other groups have likewise passed along these directions, which came from even higher than any of these, hence the superheros and TPCD and Otaku (perhaps) and who knows who else.

So, if Miho sways to the rules of heaven and yields to laws of nature, is relating the actual story... Begging the question, is that the story Miho told Kimiko, or whatever she told Piro, or something different. And if it can be told, at whatever seeming emotional cost, why not just tell Piro and Kimiko. Although Miho hasn't ever shivered and looked so helpless before has she, us arriving at the end there. Which apparently, what Miho was saying wasn't finished being said yet and sounds at least somewhat like a retelling of the events that just happened. And even perhaps seems to suggest Miho isn't the real thing or a source of stories but not even a real person for reals. Which is kind of opposite of what she says to Piro at the school, and doesn't really match with metaphysical supranatural forces forming around her and destroying buildings.

It could be the test is the other way around, and Miho's trying to figure out what Nabiku is up to. Although it probably won't surprise anyone that IMO it's dubious that either of them is being honest direct truthful. That regardless of how it appears if anyone outclasses Miho if she doesn't let them. Or that if something goes on it's the story that decides what it is, and apparently Miho is the stories.

But that ticket does appear to complicate things. I just wonder when we might expect visitors, unless these two will resolve it somehow first.

On one level, this is another chance for Fred to explain the Miho problem to us again. I think most of us here on the forum get it, but it bears repeating for a lot of other fans who don't keep us as well.

But I think it's interesting that Ninjagrrl gets it so easily. This might be a first for Miho, and she seems genuinely surprised. Piro understands, but he gets the deeper truth without really understanding the details. The people involved with Stability and the ASF understand the details, but they don't really care about the affect on Miho. Mugi, Kenji, and the CoE crowd understand the details and care, but are mostly cheerleaders for her Story and hide behind the "it can't be helped". Ninjagrrl here might be the first person to learn about the Miho problem, really understand, care about it, and consider doing something to help (or at least not do something to hurt).

I think Miho may have made herself a real ally here. A hilarious and powerful ally too, which is awesome.
