In a couple of years, AI will be able to colorize and Fred will be able to just tweak it a bit to get his slant on it. They will go back and colorize all the old comics and haters will hate it, as usual.

Wow, has it really been 20 years already? I have a lot less hair now and can definitely empathize with the fatter part. My oldest was 2 years old when I started reading this comic, and now he's in second year university. I'm still comforted by coming back to read this every couple of weeks. Keep it up, Fred!

Damn, 20 years.....I was in high school when this comic started and now.....damn 20 years!

Twentieth anniversaries are a lot to process, especially if you were around for the very beginning. I remember discovering Megatokyo at the dawn of the new millenium, reading the small backlog of pages and keeping an eye out for new updates on my mother's recently-purchased Pentium III-based, Windows 98 ME-cursed Compaq Presario.
I remember getting the 3VIL L33T and B4k4^2 tee shirts during their original design run, and snatching up the original Studio IronCat print of omnibus volume 1. I made friends I've known for 18 years because they recognized the tee shirt designs on the school bus and struck up a conversation. I remember writing for MTtC with the hordes of roleplayers in the old Fan Works subforum, and how that kicked off a life-long appreciation for roleplay and tabletop systems.
At some point, I stopped reading. I don't know when, I don't know why, but in recognition of it's 20th anniversary, I felt it was best to reflect on how important it was in my life if only for a few brief years.
The ride's not over yet, it seems...
