Random J-Pop, K-Pop, and other SEA musics.........

Post by Yl33 D4 N00b » Mon Aug 14, 2023 11:17 am

I've found a lot of great SE Asian music in the past ten years that aren't anime related, so instead of posting them in the Anime Tunes thread, I'll start a new one here.

First up is a latest fave; it's supposed to be a subgenre of J-Pop called "Shibuya-kei", but that music is supposed to be heavily influenced by the 60s; this tune feels more late 80s - early 90s, IMO.

Been a fan of Gyari for years(I'm subbed to his YouTube channel); the latest offering is one from perhaps one of his ZOMS VTuber projects(not sure if the MC in the vid is going to be a VTuber(like Pikamee) or not, but she fits the profile.)

This is not quite anime, so I'll put it here. This is one of the albums Fred plays on his Twitch channel. It's actually a playlist; no one has combined it into one video yet.

Does Passcode do anything under 150bpm? I think I would need a nap after two songs, lol

Shibayan Record's Toho Bossa Nova series have been a favorite of mine for several years now; here's the latest volume, #12!

I was watching this Premier Two video on YT where Pete was doing a livestream in Nakano. At a bar, he met some Metal guys, and struck up a conversation. One of the guys gave him a pick, and it said Atsushi Yokozeki - "Jet Finger". Checked him out on YT, and he's pretty much a badass.
