[tcibt][filk] comforted and dumb

Post by cidjen » Tue Apr 20, 2021 7:26 am

The Cidjen Imagination Barf Theater Present

an installment of 'how to butcher a sad song'

Comforted and Numb to the tune of Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd
(just felt like writing a song for the Miho-Largo encounter scene in the Cave of Evil, sung by Miho)
(it all starts from a copypasta, there may be edits later, but it's amazing how much already fits)

Hello? (Hello? Hello? Hello?)
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me
I know that you're just drunk?
Come on now
I hear you're feeling down
Well I can ease your pain
Get you on your feet again
Relax
I'll need some information first
Just the basic facts
Can you show me where it hurts?
There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
When we have gamed i had you beaten
My sword has pierced you like (a) balloon
Now I've got that feeling once again
I can explain you would not understand
This i can see you have
You've become comforted and dumb
You've become comforted and dumb
Okay (okay, okay, okay)
Just a little pinprick
There'll be no more, ah
But you may feel a little sick
Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working, good
That'll keep you going through the show
Come on it's time to go
There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship, smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
When we were gaming
I caught a fleeting corpse
Out of the grasp of my sword
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my trigger on it now
I since have grown
But you have not
You've become comforted and dumb
Слава Україні!

and where it happens when I have time to stream

Blessed be those, who, having nothing to say, avoid trying to tell this to the world in their own words - J. Tuwim ( liberally translated )
