Crosis posting here is my fault I think. :P

Also... I'm watching 16 series this season while somehow holding down a full time job and friendships with other humans...

Despite this there's STILL anime that friends like this season that I'm missing...I think I liked it better when there was like ONE popular anime per season at most. >.>

My daughter and I just watched Your Name -- which is pretty gorgeous (maybe a tad overdone in places) -- and are part way through Mary and the Witches Flower. We're previewing movies for her upcoming birthday party. Last year they watched Secret of Arrietty which everyone enjoyed.

There's some irony in that the first time through I watch these things with subtitles but I end up having to go back and watch them in English because I never know exactly how they're going to translate something and the last thing I need is some parent calling me and asking me why I'm not helicopering enough.

As for Manga, we both are reading Orange while my son and I read One Punch Man and occasionally work through watching some of Gundam Seed Destiny. The blu-ray re-masters were nice and clean...well compared to the fansubs I had when I was younger anyway. :-)

I don't read much for myself these days. Although two years ago someone gave me "All you need is kill" for Christmas which I liked quite a bit.

I would never let my offspring watch Gundam Seed Destiny omg.

Joke aside, hopefully they'll bring out Yuasa's kids film and you can have that checked by your children.

Read vols 28 & 29 of "Kimi ni Todoke". One more vol. until the end. This has been a great series and I wish they'd finish the anime, too. The story seemed anticlimactic for awhile after the girl got the guy halfway thru, but then the author started telling the stories of her 2 female BFF's. Due to my laziness in pursuing scanlations, this is my 1st time reading these vols. Also vols 8 & 9 of "Bride's Story". Such amazing art! "Skip Beat" could go on forever, it's been so uniformly excellent. Now, if only Ai Yazawa would come back & finish the "Nana" series, I could die happy.

Bride's Story is absolutely amazing. My daughters and I have been collecting the volumes whenever we've found them in the store.

Wrapping up the season....

Did watch all of Hinamatsuri; it's a cute show, with equal parts "aww" and WTF?, but it's not awesome, or anything. I'd probably watch a second season, if it came out.

Gave HisoMaso 4 eps, and dropped it. Didn't like the characters, or the writing. ED was cool, though.

Glad they decided to give Golden Kamuy an extra season, but I wonder with all the innuendo in the show they should call it Golden Shower....

Wotakoi at times felt like a broken record, but Arisa Date's characterization of Naru is gold.

Tada was mostly predictable, and sometimes unbelievable, but I liked it, anyway.

MHA is good, though Midoriya cries too much.

I guess I'll have to wait for the next season for SnS to do the Asspull of the Century(According to manga spoilers) It did what it does best, food porn, and fanservice......

I'm actually disappointed in how Megalo Box ended.

Joe should've died, and not won the title after Yuri had his gear surgically removed
I liked the show, otherwise, though.

I'm just going to finish Franxx to see what kind of asspull ending the writers dreamed up. I think they could've edited it down to one cour, shucked the emo crap, and it would've worked better.

Amanchu 2 went back to its' roots over the final two eps, for which I'm glad. Will that stupid little kitten ever grow, though?

Tokyo Ghoul:re was probably the weakest show(next to Franxx) that I kept watching. Too much emo, IMO.
