Halfway though the season.....
<SNIP>
Restaurant to Another World? Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Every single episode. Oh, sometimes the customers argue over how their meal is the best one served in the restaurant. That's about it for drama. Watching it out of habit, nothing more.
I may have to drop this one. Not because of the anime, per se, but because after every episode I'm hungry. It's killing my diet. :P

I take it you don't watch Food Wars or Sweetness and Lightning either?

Isekai Shokudou's level of food porn is pretty low imo so I'm not too hungry from it. I do enjoy the whole fantasy hicks reactions to tasting our cuisine and flipping balls over what we consider mundane. Makes you appreciate how far food has come since the middle ages.

This was a while ago but Koufuku Graffiti gave me the biggest hankering for omurice...

Picked up vol 1 of "My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected" light novel & was *very* pleasantly surprised. Enough to order vols 2 & 3. The anime is a faithful adaptation, it seems.

Just finished catching up on "Princess Jellyfish" vol 16 & found that there has been a 1 1/2 year hiatus in the manga??!! Does anyone know the story behind this break? It seems like vol 17 might be the last one.

I have been neglecting most manga for quite awhile, just staying current with US releases of "Skip Beat" & "Kimi ni Todoke".

"Princess" has been very darkly cute tho at halfway it's losing its edge.
"Centaur" makes Hime extremely moe, a neat trick for someone that large & bulky; otherwise it's meh.
... and "Virgin Soul" still delights.
Otherwise a disappointing season.

Watching oregairu and then reading the LNs are like seeing and smelling your favorite food, and eating it. Working on vol. 5, myself, when I can.

Gamers had a lot of promise, but it's quickly turning into a train wreck......

I am watching several series.
1) Gamers
2) In another world with my smart phone
3) My Girlfriend is a Gal.

I have also watched the movie "Your Name" which was really great.

Watching Centaur stuff, there's this scene where they're all "discrimination is bad so don't do it" and then you see all these dudes in black suits carefully watching the classroom, and the teacher is all "Now quickly children, let's sing the national anthem!" Things aren't quite as picturesque in utopia after all.
Watched part of ...Tsurezure? something or other. I liked the ... president and the smoking girl? The rest was pretty much MAX CRINGE.
I dropped Little Witches Academia. Akko was just too obnoxious and the DEEP OMINOUS PLOT happened much too late to generate interest. Sorry not sorry.

Been rewatching some classics:
Shadow Skill - ye olde fightan animu
3x3 Eyes - blood and guts. Also Megumi hayashibara.
Birdy the Mighty - I was enjoying it mildly until I picked out Misato's VA... and Norio Wakamoto. Then I started enjoying it more.
Black Magic M-66 - Killer robots and HIGH TENSION
Gunsmith Cats - WTB more
Riding Bean - vroom vroom
And I've just started rewatching Great Teacher Onizuka for the first time in... maybe a decade? Looking forward to Urumi. Also, "Not my Cresta!"

Also, there's a group that's doing Captain Future, an old 70's anime. You might remember the reference to Captain Future in Asobi ni iku yo.

Old shows are the best shows.

My opinion of the summer shows hadn't changed much since mid-season. Made in Abyss was still heads(and ears) above the rest. Now waiting impatiently for 3 Gatsu no Lion S2!
