I wasn't planning to watch My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999, but I heard some buzz, and I checked it out. I like it! The art style is different, and Akane is a total mess!

Dangers in My Heart is as good as I hoped it was going to be, with a really good OP.

The Clueless Transfer Student Is Assertive is about what I expected to be, a slow start, but still good. I'm confident it'll get better as it goes.

Heavenly Delusion is off to a good start. The characters and story is already showing many layers.

Watched the Love is War movie. Almost perfect. Should've left the Ishigami/Tsubame bit out, and concentrated on the MCs.

Skip and Loafer is better than I hoped! A most excellent adaptation by P.A. Works!

The new seasons of Dr. Stone and Tonikawa pretty much have the same beats as before. Both are still good.

However, The Ancient Magus' Bride S2 has a completely different vibe, as Chise is in Uni now. Good start.

A lot of people are crapping on Megami no Café Terrace, but it remains a guilty pleasure for me. At least it seems to be done well.

A Galaxy Next Door is a simple anime, but it looks like it's executed well, which is all that I hoped for!

Demon Slayer and Witch From Mercury continues where they left off, in both story and animation. Both good things!

Insomnia is a good adaptation. Not awesome, but good.

I just lost a long post about the shows I've been watching. I'll just say that I haven't dropped any shows, and Vinland Saga remains the best I've seen this season, though Oshi is really good, too.

Hey, I kind of remember this site from time to time and spam-post on the subforums.

First time in this one, but I was kind of delighted with a couple Manga I found in the last couple weeks.

Again!! was excellent. Good time-travel story, interesting pretty much throughout. Honestly it felt like it could've gone on forever, exploring more cool stuff, but the ending was satisfying too.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy House of the Sun too much, but again, it was excellent in a very different genre. I thought it was going to be pretty standard I'm-living-with-a-guy-so-I-guess-I'll-fall-in-love, but there was so much character development by pretty much everybody. Far more to it that I'd anticipated.

About to wrap up the season, one of the best ones that I've seen! I usually drop 1-2 shows during a season, but did not do so this time, all the ones I chosen were good!

The ones I've finished:

Vinland Saga S2 was better than S1, a Top 5 alltimer for me. The scene with Thorfinn and Canute was simply incredible.

I knew Dangers of My Heart had the potential to be great, but the adaptation exceeded my expectations by a lot. One of the things that made me happiest this season was watching the avg. score rise on MAL as the season wore on.

Skip to Loafer was very solid; it did a great job of fleshing out the MCs, and the animation looked good, despite the relatively simple character designs.

Kubo was pretty simple, but the VAs did a great job of giving the characters depth. I particularly simped hard for Akina, my fav gal of the season.... :' )

Demon Slayer did Demon Slayer things well, so I guess that's good.....

Dr. Stone and Magus' Bride both did a serviceable job on setting up their second cours, though overall, neither of them stood out to me.

More post mortems.... :' )

I think Heavenly Delusion tried to cram too much in there at times, but it was an entertaining watch, nonetheless....

My Clueless First Friend was a treat; the adaptation captured the character dynamics well.

Yamada landed the ending well, I think. As a manga reader that's struggling to continue with it, I wouldn't be sad if there was no season two.

Speaking of season 2s, Cafe Terrace getting one shocked me. I mean, it's a serviceable ecchi harem, but it's no QQ.

A Galaxy Next Door didn't need that last ep, as the major conflicts were already settled. Still, it was a decent show.

Golden Kamuy S4 finished, well, weird, and awesome. Of course, this is normal..... ;) Looking for the 5th and final season, will it get 12-13, or 24-25?

Oshi no Ko was a solid 9 for me, but I can't give it a 10. We'll see what S2 brings, but I don't think the source is as strong.

I don't usually doze off during premier eps, but I did several times during My Tiny Senpai. I know a lot of the the show rides on the MC being cute, but I just couldn't find her as such, especially with the "nyan" bits. There's nothing else in the show that piques my attention, so it's getting dropped after only one episode.

Finished GWitch. They pulled a deus ex machina, and rushed everything to have a happy ending for all. Is this a hallmark of modern anime nowadays?

Hell's Paradise finished OK, but the MCs are getting shonen-style powerups(well, it is a shonen after all, lol), so now they can whoop demigods? Guess I'll check out S2 when it comes out.

I'll say it: I liked Insomniacs better than Oshi. (BTW Aka is seriously trolling us in the manga). I think it's the best teenage romance anime since Tsuki ga Kirei.

I'm stumped as to why Masamune's Revenge S2 even exists, but here we are. Not that impressed.

Gohands is a studio that one either loves or hates, and I'm not sure if I'm going to be one or the other with The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses. The story itself is great, as I'm caught up with the manga, but those weird 3D POV scenes mixed with the nice scenes of the two of them together is jarring.

Easily for me, the best two non sequels are Zom 100 and My Happy Marriage. Simply top notch on both of them.

A song popped up on my YT recommendeds- Fine on the Outside, from the Ghibli movie Omoide no Marnie (When Marnie Was There). Never having heard of neither, I read the synopsis, and intrigued, watched the movie. It's very good! It gets clunky and hard to follow at times,(though once you see the ending, things that happened earlier make more sense), but it knows when to hit hard when it counts.

It's been a while since I posted here...

But I still roam the vast and weird hellscape called the bootlegs...

And today I just found...

Matagi Gunner

Aka Old Mountain Hunter Plays Battle Royale As A Sniper... And kills it. On the surface at least...

But then, a few more chapters in - the inspiration for the main female character becomes... :) That's all I'm going to say. See for yourself. I got as far as chapter 14 in one go.

I tried to watch it, but it was cringe, so I quit watching after 2-3 minutes.

Yeah the cringe is real but there are some gems and tropes too (also I'm assuming that you might have watched the making of on Corridor Crew)
