This may be a busy quarter for me, there seems to be plenty of interesting shows this season.....

First up for me this season is Wandering Witch - The Journey of Elaina. Looks like a keeper; looks great, first ep was a little rushed, but it's a quibble.

I've been reading the Tonikaku Kawaii manga from almost the beginning, so I was hyped about the anime. It did not disappoint.

Unlike Tonakawa, I've ignored the Jujutsu Kaisen manga since, well, forever. The anime's off to a rousing start, as expected of a Shonen Jump title.

Watching "Douluo Dalu" or "Soul Land", a Chinese 3-D anime isekai variation in which a sorceror from another world commits suicide and is born in yet another magic world. Very ornate backgrounds which are seen for only a few seconds. Only quibble is the characters' teeth are not animated well?? A fun, beautiful, and engrossing series with many eps. Rabbit girl is very cute and has a strong kick! Only watched to ep 17 so far. There's also the original manhua.

Talentless Nana could be one of those that could be really good, or really bad. It does have my attention, for now.

Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle is probably going to be one of those where the entire series is going to be variations of the same gag. It's cute, but if it continues like this, I'll bail.

Noblesse is mostly flatter than piss on a board; I may give it one more ep.

I think Akudama Drive is well, I'm not sure.. :? I will also give it one more ep.

Is the Order a Rabbit: Bloom is as cute as it ever was....

The Day I Became a God is a 'wait and see". Plain Jane SOL with a weird twist so far.

The first casualty of the season is Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle. I kept dozing off..... Dropped. Too many variations of the same gag.

While cruising through ANN, I saw a story about the manga My Broken Mariko winning an award. I found it online, and read the whole thing in one go(It's only four chapters). It's powerful, raw, and heartbreaking.

My Broken Mariko
Wow, that was good, thanks for pointing that out.

On a lighter note, I keep coming back to "The Clueless Transfer Student is Assertive". Kind of a Kimi ni Todoke with elementary school kids, but with the dial cranked a lot more toward comedy than drama. (Not _all_ the way mind you, but even when the drama comes up, it's still wrapped in a layer of cute.)

Thanks, darrin, I could always use another manga! Takada reminds me of me when I was his age.... ;)

I am also finding "Boku no kokoro no yabai yatsu" (The Dangers of My Heart) ridiculously cute, but it might be more sugary-sweet than some prefer. :D

Jeez, another manga that sucked me in, and I wound up marathoning until I caught up! Thanks again, darrin! Did you know they made a live action of it?

If I have to ding it, it's the gravure poses the author does of Yamada. She's supposed to be an 8th grader, after all.....

Continuimg in the world of romcom manga, Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru or My Dress-Up Darling, is a new one for me. It has it's share of fanservice, but the MCs are likeable, and have good chemistry together.

Was enjoying a whirl thru Youtube where one URL leads in many different and fun directions. Found a Japanese-language live-movie trailer for a story I loved in manga and anime, "After the Rain". An unconventional story about how a 17-year-old schoolgirl's infatuation with a 44-year-old restaurant manager works to give them both a new start in life. I recognized the story from the trailer (tho I couldn't understand the audio) and found the movie.
