Hello unexpected twist! So much for my idea that taking them to Grandma would be a big cockblock!

Although I personally think they won't be able to get up to anything with Granny leering at them. :)

For a second I thought it was Yuki under the blanket in the fourth panel and she'd done some switcheroo with Kimiko. That would have been both hilarious and "Eeewwwwwww!" at the same time.

Megumi is kinda ticked off, but absolutely hilarious in this one.

Interesting that the license plate cover looks like it has a foxtail logo on it. I suppose it is Mugi's, since it was in her car. But I wonder if it's just a personal thing, or if there is a larger meaning to it. Is there Foxgirl organization where you get benefits, so maybe she gets to park for free or something?

I'm curious to meet Megumi's grandma. I assume this is not the 8-tail foxgirl grandma that she shares with Mugi, but rather her father's mom.

Edit to add:
I'm curious how the fanboy horde might react to this. They already see Piro as Kimiko's boyfriend (from the Sight event [1098]). They know that "Miho" has just confessed her love for Piro [1461]. And now (assuming the horde spots them) here's Piro getting a room at a love hotel with not only Kimiko but also another lovely waitress from Anna Miller's.

Piro is clearly a playa. Is the fanboy horde going to be mad that he's two-timing Miho? Are they going to be jealous over tonight's apparent 3some? Even if the horde splits between pro-Kimiko and pro-Miho factions, everybody is going to be mad at Piro, I think.

Of course, Kimiko has already been to one of these places at least two and more likely three times. Wonder what their reaction would be if she told them?

Piro... you're worried about being supposed to pay as the guy?

All that adrenaline really has scrambled your brains.

I wouldn't be too quick to peg it as sexism. Kimiko probably doesn't have her wallet at the moment.

Upon rereading I've got the giggles from Megu slapping Kimi on the butt to get their attention.

A love hotel? Gotta start wondering about Megumi's family now.

This is nicely setup to be the antithesis of the bathhouse scene.

At least Piro knows precisely how much jiggle is there now

Who is to say that he already doesn't know? He had to hold on to something while all the action was going on, right?

Not freaked about being at a love hotel with Kimiko, only freaked about not being able to pay for it. I think that Seraphim would be pleased.

I suspect that Megumi's annoyance is not with them but having to come here.

Or perhaps some of them will become *his* fans for living The Fanboy Dream! :D

Piro as "The Mega-Playboy of the Eastern World" perhaps? ^_~

I remember Fred once typing that at the end of the story, not many will like him anymore. Well, here’s a nice setup to get there… =/

Anyways, fun comic and I still suspect the same eight tailed granny we saw earlier at the shrine to appear as the owner of this place. 50% chance against the mother of their father, right? Unless we’re talking half-sisters — which in itself might not be at all unlikely. But hey… =D

Right. Piro still had to face the love hotel embarrassment. I figure now is as good a time as any… And with Kimiko, too…

Seraphim might invite herself to keep him out of *more* trouble — in Big Mode™ AND Visible Mode™, this time. Let’s give the horde some more food still for a good round of mass enmity…!!!

Masamacho *might* even choose to expel Fre… (sorry…) Piro and Largo to prevent Piro from being lynched (without a permit) by the crowd…

Anyway… Thanks for the update, Fred! =)

Hmm, whatever was going on under the blanket, they are still clothed (I hesitate to say "fully" clothed given Kimiko is wearing what is only technically a top and no pants), and Piro still looks really confused.

Kimiko on the other hand is giving off a nice "Wait, why am I being interrupted here??" vibe. Let's hope the check-in process is not too long and drawn out; my impression is that that's supposed to be pretty streamlined at places like this, but then all I know about it is from manga and that scene in Wolverine ;) (Logan was right Piro, you definitely wanna go for the Mission to Mars theme. 8-))

Agreed, definitely a nice touch (no pun intended :P).

I'm confident Megumi's mad Tokyo drift skills have been sufficient for the horde to have lost track of them. Presumably Junpei would have had no trouble mopping up any -- er -- what's the opposite of stragglers? Any few fanboys ambitious & clueful enough to still be following them after the rest of the horde lost track.

EDIT 2:
It just clicked for me that "How busy are you right now?" in the last strip didn't mean "Are you personally doing anything important right now?" but "How crowded is the place right now?"

I think he is at least somewhat. It's just that there's so many things to be freaked about it'll have to get in line. :D

I didn’t get much response to my observation that in [1501] that the woman and dog next to the car had a strong resemblance to Saraphim and Boo... look again; I think they are already in big mode and on the case!

I can see your point, but I don't think that's her. I think it's just some random lady out walking her dog. But Fred likes to keep things ambiguous. We'll find out for sure eventually.

Her grandma. Runs a short to medium term vacation getaway, we might say. And how human are Megumi's dad or his mom, we might wonder.

Last comic, some chance standard NPC woman and dog on the street. Looking at Megumi's messed up car, her with not enough ninja wooshing her around, living out in the real world, driving her acting as another newly-minted-Idol and co-worker and some alien around; how busy is the hotel this time of year?

Looks like she smacked his leg in panel 3, if how they're situated in panel 4 is any indication. haha foxtail insider parking permit

Difficult to read Kimiko/Miho. Not much there. Either way, she needs to wash her hair and change her clothing.

Nominally shy and reactive Piro isn't likely to specifically complain about the location, but more make a cover excuse like not being able to pay for a room. Which he's probably the only one here going to be put off by the scenario. This is a culture with such types of lodging with their descriptively direct names, after all. For all Piro knows about the fiction etc, he's not in the same mindset as a native. Such as just not care at all, or protest a bit for appearances mostly.

Mm, no, I think Invisigoth had this one right. Kimiko was lying on top of Piro, facing downwards. Megumi smacked whatever was topmost, i.e. Kimiko's butt. (Aside from issues of who was where and pointing in which direction, I seriously hope that effeminate little "Eep!" came from Kimiko rather than Piro.)

Not a parking permit, a rudimentary "privacy screen"; she specifically says to cover the license plate, as opposed to hanging it from the mirror or sticking on the dashboard as is more typical for a permit, and you can see another in use on someone else's car to Megumi's right in the last panel. Obviously not hard security against a determined attacker (you can just pop it off to read the plate, if you're that rude), but just intended to prevent you from "accidentally" pulling up next to another car and "accidentally" recognizing a coworker's or family member's plate. (Presumably you don't need a "permit" to park in a place like this, you just need to go in and pay. ;))
