of note: I am sorry about the language here - there are reasons she talks this way, and also, sorry for her... well, lack of concern about covering up. There are reasons for this. I kept the exposure down as best i could, but I have always taken the approach that if something is there you draw it. In bath scenes in the past that were part of the story, there was a kind of natural covering up that the characters did that worked fine visually. In this case, there is no effort to cover up and that is reflected in the way the art came out.

That said, i will finish up the art appropriately for the no-dialogue release to reflect this. Be forewarned of this before you download or look over the dialogue free versions and/or production drawings.

this is the public release version. High res and dialogue free will come a little later today after i finish them appropriately.

This is brilliant on at least three levels... Erika’s head, the real world, and wherever Moeko is...one of the best strips IMHO

OK, so was Ririka's 'Pure' Moeko always an act, or is this the result of 15+ years of being trapped in her own head? Probably the former, with some selective memory work by Moeko - people tend to idealize those they've- lost.

Interesting that she can communicate mentally with Erika. I suspect it's ONLY Erika - she would have talked to Ririka when she visited.

*Edit*: I would never have suspected she would be a fan of Erika's portrayal. Nice one Fred.

I would think that she might have taken at least some if not all traits of *real* Erika personality...

Look, it's being said that Kimiko is a master at hiding her emotions. That she was hiding them so deep that she wasn't even considering them real... What if this is what actresses in MT world are like....? If Erika was the master of this, before Kimi even started?

In Erika's case it would mean, maybe the real Erika wasn't this pure as everyone thought. (Just as Miho wasn't always the sick girl). But she was made to play Moe-bo so she actually developed a completely new personality to go with that... she couldn't do that without becoming Moeko even partially. Remember that Ryoya remark about forcing to live out of character until she snapped? That might have been it.

So, like, Erika could only play Moebo as long as she was the nice person, Moeko.
The naughty one got pushed away, completely out. The transformation was so complete that no one knew where it went.
Hitoshi saw that and left, cause he wasn't a fan of this 'meek Erika'.
That left Erika's character building in disarray until Largo came around to help.
(Crazy but maybe Hitoshi was Largo's first attempt at this game?)

But this nice Erika was actually the real Moeko all this time, and now this comic shows that the 'naughty' Erika was sent to sleep.... In Moeko.

This also sort of works well with my theory that Moeko and Miho are related, but not the same person.

Back when Miho fainted... Maybe that was the sign of Kimiko doing to her, what Erika did to Moeko?

Maybe Moeko and Miho are the previous generation of what Erika and Kimiko are supposed to be? We're seeing a generation change, is all.

Interesting idea...makes you if part of a successful (i.e. surviving) MG is to spawn an influencer, with a power level based on the source MG's power as well as the actress' talent.

Nope, this isn't the SEP field. Like Teddy says, this is 100% in Erika's head. Moeko is powerful enough that not only can she hold a conversation mentally, but she's hijacked all of Erika's senses to make it seem real. That's really and truly dangerous. If she can learn to do this with other people she could convince anyone to do anything, simply by forcing their perceived reality to conform to her intent.

Nope, no mocking. Fred's subverted this by making Moeko a fangirl of Erika's....so far.
Even if she decides that would be fun, I don't see Moeko as having the stamina to control Erika for long. No idea how much power she's using to do this, but it's got to take concentration at the least.

I wonder what kind of range Moeko has? In 1540-41, she was communicating with Miho, at a fair distance. I'm guessing you have to have some MG in you to detect her? Wonder if Yuki could communicate with Moeko in the same way.

No, this isn't just happening in Erika's head. This isn't mind control nor is it possession.

Largo is completely blind to what is happening and it's not an SEP because Largo thinks everything is his problem.
