Well Ping will have a lot to process after this...

Grandmas are such a vital font of wisdom, including the wisdom to know when to stop being prudish about things and just be out with it. And when to quit. The only question now is what Ping does with this new data and what effect it has on her. Advanced AI should not even be tasked with making cake for office parties. This could be the seed of Megatokyo's GladOS moment.

I also like how the big plushie thing next to them looks like it's looking at them with a smirk. I hesitate to think what the guests of the Foxhole have done to it before it was retired to the break room.

During the drawing on Twitch we saw Fred teasing the viewers with phantom tails manifesting behind Megumi as well as the hint of ears raising. The tails are gone but the phantom ears are still visible...

Are Megumi's fox ears popping up in that last panel?!?

Heh heh... Ping had very little clue. She probably was thinking along the lines of heavy hugging and smooching.
Granny has a look like she is 3 sheets to the wind right now.

That’s a wise move of grandma, I think. She rightly guessed the background of the misunderstanding between Megumi and Ping, and now freaks out Ping deliberately (and her granddaughter — with two D’s ) — to just give Ping every reason to withdraw out of her own free will.

I wonder how this will play out, but that’s the intention I tend to read in grandma’s communication.

Oh, good lord, Ping definitely acts like the young teen that's just now being corrupted (and is embarrassed in the process). Yes, Ping, you just bit off more than you can chew. Nervous? You should be.

EDIT: I wonder how Piro's going to react when he finds out that the grandmother just corrupted Ping.

That expression in Panel 5. Grandma looks like she is remembering things she’s told others, over the years; sad and bittersweet but necessary. This strip was some of Freds best face/emo work; even in the no-text Patreon strip you could pretty much tell what was being said...

The plushie's eyes definitely moved -- compare the current strip (1544) against the previous one (1543).

We've had inhuman characters (e.g., Ed) in Megatokyo, but nonhuman ones (besides Boo and Seraphim, and the CEA crew)....?

As for ears on Megumi, I think they're real -- her hair in 1544.6 (an "aerial shot" from the rear) does not "lie" in such a way as to allow for "ridges" or "waves" to appear as ears from the front.

Did Grandma just give Ping an alchoholic beverage?

Doesn't alcohol have some sizable calories content? 7 calories per gram. If anything she'll not need extra charging tonite.

Not just the ears...the whole face (eyes especially) is about to go full kitsune...

Pure speculation, there was some discussion about Megumi's lineage in which some readers had the position that she and her maternal line were not in fact Sawatari but "normies" who were covered by the clan under the umbrella of being support or dependants
By showing Megumi as positively feral he can demonstrate that her maternal line is simply tailless (or something), not manifesting kitsune traits

Poor Ping looks like she is about to blow a fuse due to all the information given to her by Grandma. It almost reminds me of Norman in the Star Trek episode I Mudd when he goes into overload.
