Piro's changes, or not.
There's no certainty Piro has fully or even mostly moved over to "seeing things", it might be limited to relationships. As what might more be expected from Piro, a change in one area as relates to somewhat letting go of the past, not an entire switch in character for multiple areas.
The lava room and tenderness.
Tis but perception certainly, but for all the talk about the situation of Kimiko and Piro, they'd seem likely to have a lower key method of behaving, something less hectic, to match their demeanors. Those two aren't Erika and Largo in steampunk gear on top of an electric train. What we might expect from one pair to be happening with the other, not so much perhaps.
Who helps whom when and why.
It's pretty sure Erika would help Yaku, why wouldn't Largo, but how does story get those two here anyway. Yet however crazy and wild, Largo has been at least smart enough to know Erika knows what she's doing and has powers, and they've been operating as a team mostly, taking her lead at times. Sometimes following Erika's lead is a prudent step of the wiser, not a sign of control. Even if they weren't dating.
Which is student and which is teacher.
Besides that anyway, how has anything broken apart? True, Junpei isn't as much following way of leet, he's got stability matters, apparently some big family issues. And has been at least somewhat impacted by Mugi in way of love, yet just as Largo has by Erika. They're in different situations, but not at odds. Right now, Junpei is helping Mugi help Miho, and we know Largo will help Miho, if not for himself, or Erika, for Piro and even once again Miho. Or maybe it's better to say, for the situation. We've seen it, it's rather what he and Erika are doing right now, a bit sidetracked. Like that, Erika and Largo rescue Miho at CoE, have a nice conversation on the subway, so too Junpei runs interference for Miho at the request of Mugi and with Kimiko implementing much. So yes, paths diverge, but support has apparently not.
Ouch, no I'll be okay.
In spite of any logic in the outcome of the attack given the timing and outward behaviors then and in the last comic, it does seem she's more hurt. Hit too hard in the back. Whatever, a strong front that now falls apart. For all her mocking in panel two, Enjii has whoever those two are (vis says fred says they're junpei's parents) prep to and then hold her in panels four and five. Although certainly that's not stopping the other ninja, so perhaps also she's not quite as in charge as she's made out. (Is she clan leader grandma eternal and youthful, or Junpei's younger sister being trained, or just some crazy woman.) But whichever way, here and now appearances are she's hurt more than she had let on, and maybe that explains her seeming to doubt and start to hold back but nobody else doing so.
Rescues, rescues, and more rescues.
Is calling for some details enough, or does Yaku actually have to use Junpei's name. Hmmm. Well, it's possible that her cries might attract someone else waiting or related to the topics in the last cry; perhaps Meimi, Yuki, or even yes Junpei anyway, rules or not. A lot depends on that. Maybe though calling it out that way makes the ninjas here react in another way, not as this being a matter of clans, a fox operation against ninja, but a personal matter of Junpei and Mugi, he as the willful initiator towards her. So, maybe nobody shows up, perhaps only 'this horde regains control over its will' or the like. That depends on a lot.
Stories and love and honor.
Perhaps the reason that "grandma" has been attempting to not let Junpei see her and doesn't want Yaku to call for him and so on, is that she's working a story angle or has been controlled by such a plot, to turn Junpei's personal interest in Komugiko into some ancient clan v clan drama. But in another sense, serves to point out that love is more complex and powerful than honor is. Perhaps because honor is a more vague concept until it's implemented, in which case it operates (in some more narrowly deliberate focus) as a type of love. Not romantically, but in the sense of definitions like family, strong affection, in the sense of rules, an admiration for justice, benevolence towards others. Devotion to order, good things, in terms of what's the right thing to do. Unselfishness, the honorable, not what that benefits you. Loyalty. But certainly a story of steadfast honor isn't a love story in some MG sense, it isn't romance, and it's less exciting than a fox versus ninja fight for supremacy. Although there'd be honor in righting past wrongs, but that would likely only depend upon viewpoint. Although in this case, the clan leaders at least, both are concerned with their group as family, but one is for stability and a reputable component of the system, and the other one is apparently a more opportunistic less moralistically-constrained more outcast. Some might say it's easier to take the higher ground when you have a great reputation. Yet the outlook and ideas and goals and behavior of the leaders doesn't define the entire group, and in this case, Mugi and Yaku are less of their group anyway. In a way that Junpei might also be with his.
Magical Girls and what's next.
Aside from unknown others, someone morphing into their character, Miemi being ? who knows where, and Yuki being involved in the goings on at hospital with the stability forces, TPCD, nurses, Erika and Largo as a team of situation creators or problem solvers, and whatever else. There doesn't seem much (aside from that one thing Yaku might be doing here now) that might lead an MG to this part of the story. Depending on how locked into some path they are now, to get pulled away by external forces on a related or different path. Still, while an experienced wise-ish MG might be able to take out a number of ninja, for love, maybe not Yuki. (Are her powers great enough to overcome her degree of control over them and amount of experience she has in making decisions.) We might could compare some of that to Miho's physicality usually, but she's not seemingly under the power of love or a source of it (the stories appear to be more about loss) and regardless, apparently medical technology can't withstand the powers of stories anyway. Which to some extent then, nobody is as powerful as story, or perception, and if that's true, that Miho had a pacemaker put in would be not so important. As just as temporary as that missing time between 1123 and 1248, and just as long-term and consistent as if it spells out her demise or that of everyone around her.
