That being said, I hope that it's real pie this time. Otherwise, Ping is going to be mighty upset. And we know what happens when Ping is upset.

That's Ping, not Junko. Someone's going to get bodyslammed through a table if they're not careful.

So when Largo was attempting to use Ping to see if he could learn how to talk to Erika he found a jail broke upload of a Girlfriend Experience module and the damage was done...

I will find it funnier if this guy had no improper interest toward Junko at all, and they were meeting for quite proper and above-board reasons as yet to be revealed. E.g. he knows something about SEVS units (a non-flaky version of her father?) or, maybe less likely, Analogues, and Junko has approached him trying to get (useful) information from him. (That would make her gushings about him in front of Ping either a mild one-sided crush, or (like the guy said in Star Trek VI) "sincere admiration" for a guy who is actually able to refrain from hitting on underage girls despite outwardly looking like he belongs in her typical client demographic.)

Even funnier? If he has already figured out that this is a SEVS (the SEVS, assuming Ping is the only prototype currently prancing about Tokyo unsupervised), and has decided to play along in order to see what useful information he can get from her. That would (to me anyway) help explain his slightly-confused-but-deeply thoughtful look in panel 7. (Note the raised-Spock-eyebrow, you can practically hear the gears whirring along at an impressive clip. )

Probably I am wrong and he is just another creep. I am likely biased here by his suggestion of pie as what they chiefly need in the last panel, which immediately reminds me of similar K lines in MiB III. Surely no bad-hearted person could suggest a "nice slice of pie" in such circumstances.

While on the subject of particular expressions in particular panels, I really love that Ping's-idea-of-Junko's-idea-of-a-sexy-smile in panel 6.

Ew ew ew ew ew ew ew. Such slimy vibes all over this one.

The man is Ping's developer. His surprise and 'fourth wall' take in frames 2 and 3 are the giveaway. Ever since he released her to Tsubasa for real world testing, he's been wondering how she's been doing. Her automatic return sequence may have been triggered by seeing his text avatar on Junko's phone. She is still running the 'catalyst' scenario.

His statements in panels 5 and 6 are meant for Ping, not Junko. Go back and reread them from that perspective and you'll see. :>

Then his surprise at Ping's response in panel 6, his reaction in panel 7 along with his response in 8 are also reactions to how human she has become.

Then the last panel shows that Ping's propensity for pie was also preprogrammed by him.

I would have thought the heterochromia (mismatched eyes) was a bit of a give-away.

Which is why he didn't have a complete freakout. Anybody *not* knowing what Ping is would have run away screaming.
