Huh... I'd forgotten about Ping being hard coded to never come between a "real" girl and a boy she might like.
How exactly does that jive with the current situation?

Groaned when I read the joke, but understood. Then read the comments, and thought about trying to explain that kind of bent humor....and lol'd.

Oh, I knew you got the joke. But you have to have the right kind of personality to appreciate that kind of joke. You have to be able to find humor in any situation, no matter how screwed. You tend to find this in people who've seen bad stuff: Cops, firemen, paramedics, combat vets...you get the idea.cidjen wrote: ↑Thu May 10, 2018 5:39 amNonono... i did get what he was joking about. So you're saying, it just wasn't the joke for me to enjoy.Roamer wrote: ↑Fri May 11, 2018 3:23 amOh, I knew you got the joke. Fine by me, I guess I just don't want to... enjoy ... this kind of jokes. There is plenty other kinds of humor I enjoy, just ... this one, not.

Which is perfectly fair. They're usually not that funny. But sometimes, when things are bad enough, you have to find something to laugh at.cidjen wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 12:04 pmSo you're saying, it just wasn't the joke for me to enjoy.Roamer wrote: ↑Fri May 11, 2018 3:23 amOh, I knew you got the joke. One thing to think about, if he is a Designer, then he would know about the Rejection Bug.
I would think, unless he is a true perv, that having Ping come on to him would not be so 'Remarkable' as it would be Terrifying.
Because he'd have to Reject her at some point, and it appears she's already demonstrated her strength by carrying him to the Pie Shop and setting him down to wait. If he's not interested in EK, now's his chance to get away in one piece.

So there still may be hope that he's just curing his loneliness and sadness without being into perfy. Which may be why Junko stated that he's different than the other 'stupid' ones she's 'serving'. A date with him may never go beyond kindness, looking, holding hands and eating pie. Hopefully.
