Fred has posted the new comic to his Patreon. He'll post it to the main site and elsewhere probably tomorrow.

Poor Megumi, she thought she was just a normal girl who came into the family by adoption....

Well. This raises some questions. Also, Kimi-zilla seems to have subsided, thankfully.

The thing is that kitsune are "monsters" and second or maybe even third class citizens. That is of course assuming that they're considered to be citizens at all. Normies like Megumi had thought that she was until a few seconds ago provide support and essential cover for their cousins.

Everything Megumi had ever believed about her life until now has become undone. She has no idea what to do.

Yes to all of that, but I was wondering more specifically which of her other grandparents was actually kitsune or part kitsune...or if becoming a nine-tail is something that doesn't actually require kitsune genes - Possibly if you're sufficiently closely associated and are of the right temperament? The way Megumi shrugged off her terrible yesterday in 1586 speaks well of her ability to deal with the crap a high-level kitsune is going to get stuck in the middle of.

And in thinking about that kind of crap, I find myself looking forward to a snark-off between Erika and Megumi when they run into each other while dealing with it. Heh.

My personal theory is that her father is a powerful kitsune who was able to conceal who and what he is.

I hope Megumi's life improves. She deserves it.

Maybe get back with that guy from last chapter...

Should we be blaming maldrul?

I didn't say that! But so far he's denied nothing

His avatar does look pretty shady.

Grandma's reaction will be interesting. Did she already know? Or has Megumi somehow been hiding the tails since birth. Assuming this isn't sudden-onset-kitsune-syndrome somehow.

I'd bet that she does know. She'd have known Megumi since she was a kit if she was indeed 9 tail at birth

And here is our confirmation, she had no idea she was a kitsune, much less a nine tails. Now comes the part where she (and us) learn where it came from.

Well I guarantee that Granny knows all too well and used some sort of Kitsune magic to conceal her ears and tails from the world. Now that the spell has been broken all hell may break loose in the Kitsune community with it being revealed that she is a nine tail.

If that is so, why would Komugiko be allowed to be a teacher at a high school?

Maybe the guy last night managed to rub off on her, enough for her to grow tails....?
Y'know, kissing was already involved, and shirts were already off.

How magical was /that/ guy...?

(P.S. thank you for the page, Fred :) )

That's like asking why service animals are allowed in public spaces. I'm not simply being harsh here.

If he really is based on the protagonist from the manga "Please don't bully me, Nagatoro!" then he is in fact anti-magic. In Warhammer 40K terms, he's a Blank - his very presence would cause magic to fail because he is the epitome of the mundane.

Hey, I also picked you because you're guaranteed to pick up the chicks in that suit. But nobody looks innocent in a suit.

Nice move from Piro putting something on Kimi while Megumi has her come-apart..... :ninja:

Surprise!

I'm wondering if "Grandma" has been withholding information.

Needless to say, life for Megumi has gotten just a bit complicated.

(Be careful what you wish for.)

She could have handled that more gracefully.
A nekid Kimiko is laying on the floor, HUBBA HUBBA HUBBA!

That’s very much like asking Fred to skip to Ping or Yuki right now and suspend our curiosity for a while. =D

Piro’s action towards Kimiko in this comic is very discreet. Nicely done, Fred!

Poor Megumi, though… =/

I really like the 3D impression Ashe’s tail gives, in (or actually, out of…) panel 7.

Oh — almost forgot — thank you, Fred, for the update! =)

It seems very unfair that Ashe is deaf in spite of having four ears though. Maybe it’s psychological? Also she’s very cute - I would have noticed that tail.
