Fred has posted the next comic to his Patreon. He'll post it to the main site and elsewhere probably tomorrow.

Has Junpei been around while the girls were sleeping? There are origami foxes lying on the bed. Does that mean he's ok. Perhaps why Mugi doesnt seem to be worried.

Between being sent back from his house to keep her mom company and finally managing to get summoned in the forest by Yaku, Junpei was there in the hospital and might of made them then I guess.

Ok, I finally found comic 1578 where Mugi discovers Miho and Yaku damp and smelling like a river in her bed and there were origami foxes in her bed.

Never mind.

Piro didn't do much that her previous lovers couldn't have done.

Miho was saved by modern medicine. https://megatokyo.com/strip/1436.

Come on, he knew CPR. Not only that, he used it and got someone to call an ambulance right away. Yes, that's modern medicine too, but not everyone has the training, and using it in an emergency if you don't do it a lot is impressive. So props to Piro.

Still, Miho the sadistic death-goddess and Piro as sweethearts? Oh barf. Okay, don't kill her, just put her on a ship going far, far, away. Australia would probably be okay.

A little PTSD from Miho? Interesting her thoughts in the first box is in English? (or is it a typo) At least she has the Sawataris' full attention.... ;)

Perhaps Piro is a certified Paramedic

Maybe that's how Paramedic Piro first met Largo

Piro has saved Largo's life on numerous occasions now so Largo owes Piro a life debt

Piro is an Agent of Change and has disrupted multiple story arcs now

Miho loves Piro!

Sure, hooray to Piro for being a good citizen. But you weren't commending his sense of civic duty.

My point, responsive to your point, is that none of his actions reflect anything about his feelings for Miho. He didn't learn CPR for her; he didn't even know that she had a heart condition. And I doubt he did anything for her that he wouldn't have done for a random person on the street having a heart issue.

But Piro, whether he knows it consciously or not, did come to MegaTokyo for her.

Well shit folks, it's officially a love triangle now.

After like 23 years we finally got it out into the open. Ish.

Also boy that picture of Miho drowning is gonna haunt me, thanks for that Fred. :/

Let me guess: Miho's her grandmother. Related in some way, at least.

Also, just look at how fixated the foxgirls are on her. Ears upright, both of them looking directly at her, and totally motionless otherwise. Even from behind this posture shouts 'prey sighted'. If the foxgirls actually are a magical girl control system, then Miho has the system's - and MegaTokyo's - full attention. This may be a problem.

Okay, either Miho actually is THAT old, or she's just having a horrific nightmare.

Of course, there was that time when she showed Piro how to "disappear". You never know....

An artist called Fred made a page
Full of drowning and angst - all the rage!
And we can't get enough

Though the next one may take quite an age.

Eh, it's not art but then ... it's a limerick, it's not supposed to be :D
Yea, verily: Who is that, running on the steppes! It is Sax, clutching buzzsaw hand extensions! He howls homicidally:
"I'm seriously going to pound you into the fast lane!!!"

Oh, yeah, I wrote Ping some backstory once.

I'm a little confused. You said Piro didn't do much Miho's previous lovers couldn't have done.
I said he did, he was part of the modern medicine treatment that saved her.
Now you're saying he saved her, but love didn't have anything to do with him treating her?

If so, okay, that's fine with me. I wasn't trying to argue that medicine is love, or Piro's part in treatment is love. I'd be thrilled if he didn't love Miho, and let the monstrosity be pulled into the void where it belongs wasting lives.

However, Miho was at his apartment when she went into cardiac arrest partly because Piro cared about her (Yuki chose it as a safe stash point). So Piro might have treated anyone who collapsed in front of him. But he was there for her at the right time because she wasn't just anyone to him. And now that Miho's stabilized (physically, at least), he's not going to just forget about her. That was a crazy intense rescue scene in D34th Flag and Piro participated fully in it. Much as I'd like Piro to just forget about Miho and not complicate his relationship with Kimiko, the relationships are getting sticky here for a bit. CPR was not the start or end of Piro's relationship with Miho.
