Holy f***

Post by Murren » Sun Jun 11, 2017 3:16 pm

Oh my fuck. We have new forums.

(Oh, and for the record, I censored myself on the title. I figured I didn't want the title of the first post in the new forum to be full of profanity.

Also, fuck typing on this on my phone is so slow that it skips letters I type unless I type really slowly. It's like this on some other websites too for me.)

Also also: looks like all our signatures disappeared :( (so I remade mine)

Well, here's to new beginnings.

Also, sign-up date is gone. I expected as much, but it still stings a bit.

This was an unexpected surprise, hopefully this is a good sign. Optimism!

A magical wonder land
it seems that quotes are easier to do on a whim, but...

Yup, PMs work fine. The only thing that tripped me up at first was that my post stayed stuck in the outbox rather than sent. But apparently it stays in outbox until it's ready by the recipient, then it goes to sent. So it was working fine.

I had to point out, I am delighted to see that someone has one of the best girls of all time (Hibiki) as their avatar; and this is the first time in a while I've seen anyone with an Idolmaster avatar. I am delighted.

Well, if we can get a few more OGs to come out of the woodwork, we can get a revival game going.

/edit
Actually, that might not work, seeing that this is the Board Game / RPG discussion forum. I guess they either merged them or they dropped our forum entirely. Still, I doubt anyone would object unless a huge influx of interest in the comic occurs and the forum swells in population.

We're going to have to see how it goes. A lot of the stuff got dropped or merged due to lack of interest.

A lot of the forum-based RPing scene died largely because the Internet got to be so much better. Most folks I know settle for gaming over Discord/Skype/Roll20 and such.

I mean, I get it. But these days running a forum game is just way harder than it used to be, since there are so many other things you can be doing on the Internet... and speaking as someone currently running a forum game elsewhere, it's pretty hard to maintain interest when you have to constantly remind people to post (and they just don't).

Times have changed.

A pity. As much fun as I have with several online games (Archeage, World of Warships, World of Tanks, Guildwars...) I find that even Guildwars and Archeage are far, far too confined to get my RP groove on with. I remember the games I played on the old forums fondly. MT:tC, Gunslinger Girl: America, Vampire: Survivor... Good times. Such good times...
Maaaaaaan. Now I need to start winning posts again.
