Re: [1585] rest and recovery

I think his head is about as dense as neutronium. Largo is the Ken Clean-Air Systems of MegaTokyo. Although he does unfortunately still have a small particle of brain in his skull, once that's removed he'll be perfectly all right. EDIT: While I was reviewing the more memorable of Largo's exploits i...

Re: [1583] the heartbreak of other people's luck

The way things are going they may all end up at the Fox Hole with everyone else. Oh no argument there. (I was mainly checking I hadn't missed something, which happens enough that I couldn't be sure. :D) At this point the only MT regular I'd be willing to bet won't show up at the Fox Hole any time s...

Re: [1583] the heartbreak of other people's luck

We have both a new, young, powerful and nervous Magical Girl, and a young, brash and spunky three-tail Kitsune, hanging out together. What are the odds? Destined to be best of friends? Maybe Yaku can keep Yukata healthy enough to actually date? Bit of a side note, but sorry, when did Yuki and Yakug...

It’s too bad love hotels don’t have cafes. You could have everyone showing up for breakfast.
They could have bangers -- that is, breakfast dogs -- and the plot would quickly become a dog''s breakfast.

I'm assuming the room is actually 2900JPY as opposed to 2900USD and Largo is just being Largo. :D

Re: [1583] the heartbreak of other people's luck

Like those tinfoil dudes on Star Trek said, "Intelligent converse is impossible. You do not discuss, you gibber." I always thought of them as the "dudes sitting under a black comforter adorned with Xmas tree lights" - did I just have bad reception, or was that one of the worst special effects of ST...

Re: What are you watching/reading Q3 2020?

The animation style completely throws you off at first and you sort of expect something silly and whimsical.....but it doesn't stay that way. Heh, yes, I loved how at first the "battle" scenes look completely cheesy and overblown, and then you quickly realize it's deliberately cheesy and overblown,...

Re: What are you watching/reading Q3 2020?

Again I am always behind the times so I apologize for it being an oldie, but I just stumbled across "Love, Chunibyo, and other Delusions" on netflix. The first half (of Season 1) I am thinking, "Ok, this is not nearly as funny as Seitokai no Ichizon"... but it is having its moments, and pretty cute,...

Re: [1583] the heartbreak of other people's luck

we have come to an ominous fork in the road with regards to Megumi. Very well put. The more I have thought about it today, the more I see three stages that will need to be worked (more likely struggled) through: a) What is Megumi now physically capable of? b) What subset of a) will Megumi actually ...

darrin, I'm not claiming that Teddy is right; I'm not claiming Teddy is "wrong", so that's fine. I'm saying he has a justifiable position to argue from. [...]the fact is that based on the information we've seen so far his arguments are internally logical and, from some viewpoints, completely reason...

Re: [1583] the heartbreak of other people's luck

The north star was useful because it was a fixed reference point for navigation. The important point is that it gave information about the external world, as opposed to "Whatever direction I am facing must be north, because my nose and my gut never steer me wrong." And in the past, Teddy was right ...

Teddy is our north star, always unchanging. Even Fred acknowledges this.
I submit that the north star is useful because it actually, you know, shows which direction is north.

Although the dark hair color makes the tails a bit difficult to distinguish from one another, the overall effect of the color choice is a striking one. I like it.

Perhaps she does. And many are destroyed that need non-destroyedness. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out being destroyed in judgement. I trust my nose and my guts, D. It's only /his/ perception filter that she's been cheating. Usually the "perception filter" works in the other direction. You're well aware of the cheating going on, but over the course of twenty years you keep telling yourself it's gotta get better sooner or later. Then one day you wake up and you...

Uggh. Agreeing with most of the expressed sentiments above. Going back to her after she's already cheated on you like this is a horrible idea. Most, except for this one: Bad call, Glasses Guy. Since we're not gonna see more of either of them this chapter.... You sure about that? 8-) :ninja: It's Fred's story so obviously not 100%. Narratively / structurally though, based on how things have gone in previous near-chapter-end situations, no, I don't consider it at all likely. I mean if Invi...
