Re: [1523] DLC may be required

Odd thought, what if Miho didn't cut off the original online hijinks because of fear or a sense of protection, wasn't behaving before in the bath house due to lack of interest, and recently wasn't reacting like that because she was matching the environment and tone of the kids. What if all that is d...

Re: [1523] DLC may be required

She kind of starts out by overriding the distance subroutines. Curious. Yeah but she's said she gets to choose; but seemingly had overestimated a lot of data gaps when she said that to Junko back around 1172. Seems not ever having run that sequence she has no frame of reference, just a vague idea of...

Re: [1522] a little different

Miho brought this up in 443. It's rather part of the conversation between Junko and Ping starting in 1172 as well. Apparently we are free to gather what we want out of the non details, until if and when there is more.

Re: [1522] a little different

I think pie is too generic to be a clue. More likely to be a red herring. I mean, who doesn't like pie? As a coincidence it's a very minor and believable one. Could very well be a coincidence, but if it isn't, then it is another thing entirely. Such as the author trying to give us some sort of insi...

Re: [1522] a little different

A look of a professor or the like. A ring on the left index finger. Seemingly not unreasonable or aggressive. If he's a client of Junko's, it's not apparently one who is overbearing and pervy. Somebody who may or may not know this isn't Junko or who knows mostly nothing about her substitute. Those l...

Re: [1522] a little different

I'd like to point out that if he indeed realizes that Ping is a gynoid and not a high school student that any laws that apply will be for robots and other synthetic entities and not the laws that apply to human minors. Unless MT laws do something like consider game accessories as human minors. Rega...

Re: [1522] a little different

Seems like the two main choices are 1 he thought (at some point) he was meeting Junko, 2 he did something like send something to Junko's phone to trigger Ping. For 1 he may still think it's Junko, for 2 he knows it's Ping. Either way he could be many things, except some choices vary depending on if ...

Re: [1522] a little different

The thought is that the guy knows it's Ping, and that he arranged this, it maybe wasn't really Junko he was trying to see. Or that at least he's not surprised Ping hijacked it. Rather than just the usual total lack of paying attention.

He does seem he might be somewhat familiar with her. I broke Iffy. { VICTORY } No joke, actual lol at that response. Well met indeed. I knew if I stuck aroundlong enough I'd get to see it happen. Dangit though, I have some overexplaining every little detail in confusing contradictory ways to c...

Re: [1521] Letting stuff happen

Exactly so until Fred gives her a name, she doesn't actually have one. Some ninja at the compound. Random clan member. Visitor. Rival clan spy. Junpei's mother, grandmother, sister, wife, child. Doesn't matter what her name is, but it's easier to call her something to identify her. Why Enjii never i...

Re: [1521] Letting stuff happen

One might consider claims (that examples of Kimiko not being direct, calm, fair or honest with Piro are anywhere nearly as numerous, to the extent, or as impactful as those examples involving Miho) as those claims being jokes, from a more fringe standpoint, skewed, a trick, or otherwise not actually...

Re: [1521] Letting stuff happen

What makes it hard for me to extend that all the way to Miho "loving" Piro is the way she chose to end that relationship. The whole situation back during Endgames (both in the game and in the chat) seems unresolved in a lot of ways, and somewhat unclear in both Piro and Largo variously retelling it...

Re: [1521] Letting stuff happen

Sometimes it's difficult to tell the difference between {things like slow, hesitant, unsure, self-conscious, tentative, worried} and disinterest. Still, things like 372, 613, 664, 953 might tell some of that part of that story. Whatever baggage Piro has isn't necessarily impactful on that in and of ...

Re: [1521] Letting stuff happen

To IG's point, at least at the start of Endgames, before anyone knew anything about anyone had nothing to do with love, it was all apparently manipulation. Maybe there's something we don't know yet though. Or a whole lot of something. We might have an easier time of knowing what Kotone is going thro...

Re: [1521] Letting stuff happen

That's going a tad too far IMO. Or you're being sarcastic here, I can't tell reliably. I don't think it's too far and I'm not being sarcastic. Although a bit flippant by saying it's nice, but that's in jest. There are a lot of things Miho might want to talk to Piro about, none of us know for sure w...

Re: [1521] Letting stuff happen

How much is Kimiko (who quit acting like Miho, which she apparently had been doing on purpose rather than being forced into it by story) herself. How much is Piro settling for what is rather than what he really wants, whatever those are. At the least, the two have been working on getting a collabora...

Re: [1520] What I've been feeling

Deriving conclusions from perspective while things are ongoing. It kind of looks like a lot of things it could be, depending on how locked into things someone is about believing others do or must be believing it the same way they are. What else they might consider possible, rather than what they've ...

Re: [1520] What I've been feeling

Not at all ignoring that. Agreed. Certainly Kimiko was pretending to be, acting as, dying for, replacing Miho. Substituting for Miho. Portraying Miho, to those needing the proper story ending Miho's expected demanded required demise that Miho keeps not having. Except for all the main players who wer...

Re: [1520] What I've been feeling

Perhaps the key part of that is not answering the question "what sort of reaction does a usual person have when the psychic and physical link to their actress and their old on-line love interest gives them emotional and physical reactions as well" (since probably no usual person has an actual direct...

Re: [1520] What I've been feeling

But it would be Miho's mind going ewww. A reaction more akin to that of the expected/perceived and actual company she's keeping, regardless of her physical age. (rather than the physical state itself is causing the reaction mental as well) Perhaps we should say that most of what Miho does isn't like...

Re: [1520] What I've been feeling

Because it isn't something 14 year old girls would do around boys or adults? Not that Miho is, but none of us having met an Analogue, in this sort of story environment or otherwise, who can tell for sure. Perhaps an MT example is more like the Asako option Yet that's not as much a reaction to becomi...

Re: [1520] What I've been feeling

Ah thanks, Ping thought Ed creepily testing her is a scenario in the Catalyst game, right. Which her reaction there the next day is vaguely remembering him, so seems she's not got too much of a notion. For Miho it still looks somewhat like she's somewhat entered a sort of young teenage girl scenario...
