Re: [1509] - "the floor is lava"
Darrin, Yuki has confirmed repeatedly through her magical girl powers that Piro and Miho are still in love. Hear me out on this one: According to Junpei, one of the primary traits that defines a magical girl is that they “live by code of love.” https://megatokyo.com/strip/674 Later, once Yuki comes ...

Re: [1509] - "the floor is lava"
Also, regarding the room, what happens to people’s clothes once they’ve removed them in a frenzy of sexual arousal? How many guests have been stuck naked in there, waiting for staff to bring them new clothes because the old ones burned up and the guests can’t leave the room otherwise?

Re: [1509] - "the floor is lava"
All this within less than 24 hours. Maybe less than 12. Definitely fewer than 12 hours since Miho woke up from surgery, by my rough calculations. A LOT of things happen simultaneously. If we look at it primarily from Piro’s point of view: - Piro finds Miho awake, talks with her, and is kicked out o...

Re: [1508] Somewhere we haven't gone before
It’s funny to look at phones from the very first days of the comic, before iPhones came out. I think Megagamers even had a landline.
...I was about Yuki’s age, and when the main comic’s story ends, I will likely be older than her mother. Good god.

Re: [1508] Somewhere we haven't gone before
True, iffy. All those “errors” Piro mentioned way back when could very well have altered Ping’s original programming, especially combined with many more that she must have accumulated over the past couple of weeks (in comic time). Geez. Now that I stop and think about it, the comic has progressed by...

Re: [1508] Somewhere we haven't gone before
If Ping doesn’t intend to masquerade as Junko, why would she actively use her chameleon skills to replicate Junko’s hair and send a message to her paramour? Remember how the first time Ping changed appearances (after she failed at “playing” with Piro way back when), she didn’t realize why her clothe...

Re: [1504] It wasn't for me
As someone who has always communicated best using the written word, I find the contrast between Piro/Kimiko and Piro/Miho fairly obvious, but it’s also obvious that my obvious is not everyone else’s obvious (obviously). Online relationships can be real ones, sometimes even deeper and more honest tha...

Re: [1504] It wasn't for me
It’s likely that Piro didn’t know Miho was in high school. She was stuck in the hospital by the time they started talking outside the game, and given that she’s over a century old, she probably didn’t communicate much like a typical high schooler. Interesting thought about Pirogoeth’s child in Endga...

Re: [1504] It wasn't for me
Was Piro longing for it, though? He was barely able to confirm that he and Kimiko were dating, and he had his back to the fourth wall when he did so. Whatever Megumi saw in his face evidently convinced her that nothing sexy was going to happen in that hotel room, given her abrupt change in demeanor....

Re: [1503] You two
One minor nitpick in your otherwise exceptional analysis: I think Miho was aware of Piro’s real gender by the time she blew up their relationship. She implies as much in the bathhouse when they’re getting undressed. https://megatokyo.com/strip/1319 “You never did send me any pictures of your-“ which...

Re: [1501] Broken Glass and Back Seats
When we last saw Kimiko’s face (in the backseat while she was straddling Piro, and wow, I really just typed that), she didn’t look like herself. She looked...not dazed, exactly, but she didn’t seem like she was all there. How conscious was she before Piro and Megumi got her into the car? She didn’t ...

Re: [1498] That Response
So the boy Ririko gave her powers up for was not the Kobayashi's dad? Or did the dad leave them? :?: If Google tells the truth, Nurse Angel Ririka was eleven at the time she (presumably) lost her powers, and the dude she had a crush on was some kind of alien with no romantic interest in her. Pretty...

Re: [1496] Outed
Meimi snuck some food on Yuki's chair during the dinner scene in order to tell Yuki to quit dashing between the table and the computer. The look she gives Yuki in the next panel says it all. Then she arranges for Largo to lend Yuki his phone, so perhaps the "stay in your chair" look was to facilitat...

Poor, poor Chewtoy. Is that the first time he's called her Yuki with no honorific? Somehow that says more about their relationship than pants (or lack thereof).
It also reminded me of Junpei fixing Mugi's lack of button discipline.

Re: [1491] Visiting the Family Shrine [part 2]
"Why don't ya figure out what she's really afraid of?" This comic was oddly heartbreaking. Mugi was so young when her family cast her out, after what sounds like an emotionally abusive childhood made even worse by their treating her as (for want of a better term) a Squib. Worthless enough for them t...

Re: [1490] Visiting the Family Shrine [part 1]
A spinoff about the Sawatari family that runs parallel to the main story would be awesome, especially if we get long installments like this! Fred's handwriting is easy enough to read even on an iPhone, although it did take me a moment to decipher a couple of the smaller word bubbles. A few people ha...

Welp, now we know there's a chance Ninjagirl is either mom or grandma. Should have figured; would a young girl of this generation insist on dressing Miho in fancy clothes and barely register when Miho fought her (although I suppose Miho could have been trying not to hurt her host like she hurt Junpe...

Re: [1483] Brawler
Miho is ridiculously cute in that getup. Sad, clearly doesn't want to deal with the idea of "story" in any form, but still cute. She doesn't see this girl as a threat or else she wouldn't have looked away. Ninjagirl reads like an exposition catalyst to me, confirming bits of the overall picture thro...
