Push her out of the car?
Not quite that drastic. But he would have been better to show a little backbone. (And no, I don't mean have his back so cut up from broken glass that you can see his little spine.)

Piro is definitely going to be regretting this once he gets out of the car.
Piro is going to be regretting a lot of things once he gets out of the car. Not the least the fact that he's snogging another girl. Piro really should have shown some backbone here and pushed Kimiko gently away.

I dunno. Seems just like a shill for the farm lobby. They get you hooked on food early, and then you're addicted for the rest of your life.

Re: [1501] Broken Glass and Back Seats

Just going to point out, the name of this comic is "Broken Glass and Back Seats", but the name of this thread is "Broken Windows". Fred changed the name after I made the thread. People (including me) were having trouble figuring out what Megumi was annoyed about, so I guess it was to give them an e...

Re: [1501] Broken Windows

The comic is not up yet for the rest of us folks. Yeah, but I did a "poll" here on this a while back. We're starting the thread when it goes up on patreon. If you don't support Fred's patreon, that's totally fine, just avoid the thread for a day. That was the consensus recommendation of folks here ...

Re: [1501] Broken Windows

Thanks Drac. Fred posted it after I went to bed. :)

Megumi does not look happy. I suppose this is not the shared Megumi/Mugi kitsune grandma that she's calling here, but her other grandma. Interesting.

Re: [1500] Trapped on the inside

It's worth observing that on #1108, when the TPCD did a Magical Girl status check, the results were: "Got it sir! All 87 accounted for. Two with catastrophic potential are at after school club activities. The third is still in a coma" Not hard to guess who that is, now. That's an excellent point. P...

Re: [1500] Trapped on the inside

"Dare" is the .jp word for "Who". So Ririka is correct; not the right kind of doctor. :P I had been thinking that anime producers made their magical girl anime's based on the exploits of real magical girls. That they had heard about them in the news, or learned their story by some similar mundane me...

Re: [1499] Little Reflections

DarkMorford was going to take care of the ssl cert last night. He was just getting back in town though, so he may not have had time. Hopefully he can fix it today.

Edit: klange took care of it. Should be all good now. Thank you klange.

Re: [1499] Little Reflections

The part of this comic I'm having the most problem with is the last panel. What did Erika do to "help people and save the world"? Sure, she was a popular idol and all, which is nice. And I suppose from a Stability point of view, she did her part in keeping the masses from going on a rampage out of s...

Re: [1499] Little Reflections

What we have established here are that there are in fact triads. Miho/Moeka/Erika was one such and I am suspicious that the focus on the portion of Miho's story that was her sickness and eventual death served to cripple Moeka's ability to do much of anything. That threw more and more of the burden ...

Re: [1499] Little Reflections

Well, isn't this an interesting comic. I have to agree with Largo, I don't much like Erika's minions. They don't know, like, or even give a flip about the real Erika. Erika learned before how hollow that can be. I suppose ExL was going a bit too well lately, and this is an issue they need to work th...

Re: [1498] That Response

Yeah, Yuki really needed that. There's an expectation that magical girls are supposed to be like on TV. Largo had told her that was wrong before [1074] , and I'm sure Meimi would make the same point. But Largo is an oddball, and it's easy for teenagers to tune mom out. Hearing it from an ex-magical ...

I’m glad Largo is there — at least he takes her seriously, just the way she is, and he values her for who she is as an ally.

Re: [1497] More skilled than sparkly

I think she meant Moeko's primary VA. After Erika had her episode they probably got someone else to voice the role. Yeah, Erika was just the VA for the Moeko anime character. But something about the way Ririka phrased that seems to imply more. Like she was talking about Moeko as a real person, and ...

Re: [1497] More skilled than sparkly

Yeah, there's some food for thought in this one. The fanboys' impression of what a magical girl should look like is clearly different from reality. But maybe it's more a matter of which reality. What they're describing is like what they see on TV, and that wouldn't be the first time something on TV ...
