I grew up in the intelligence community, and my RPG history is old enough to vote, so my paranoia is pretty well honed.
RPG me has had the vote so long that it has been in the adult voting demographic category thru two Presidencies. :ugeek:

Re: [1557] I wish I could hear you talk

Teddy, you have a nasty, suspicious mind, and I'm leaning strongly in your direction (THAT'S a first.) ... And I really, really hope Teddy's wrong about Moeko. I got back into gaming regularly in the last 9 months, so my latent grognard paranoia has been modernized with the latest edition and input...

Also keep in mind it's a log scale. If a pair of Category 5 Magical Girls has a fight, that's a Category 25 catastrophe (not just 10 ).
I think I would prefer the Richter scale for this sort of devastation...

How would a person in a coma for an extended time speak?
Magic.
So it could still be Erika speaking... because she sure is acting like she being magically dominated or compelled in this comic.
My theory of her just messing Largo last comic seems highly unlikely now.

Re: [1557] I wish I could hear you talk

"What's all this, then?" I do not think this Moeko and Miho are blood relatives. Does Erika know how to throw her voice like a ventriloquist? That would indicate that Erika is not just acting a part, but channeling the character. How would a person in a coma for an extended time speak? It would be l...

Re: [1556] A magical girl transformation sequence

I think Largo has found himself in over his head now, and is in more or less freaked out by the MG transformation bit too. I can only imagine what could happen when Moeko-mode Erika encounters Moeko, who is still comatose. ~shadowrider Erika is totally acting... with her voice and body... because s...

Re: [1554] the parts needed

I don't agree, no. In the last panel Junko is hugging Ping. The clear implication is that she was angry on Ping's behalf . If she were angry at Ping, especially for muscling in on Junko's "job" or whatever you were implying, that wouldn't have happened. Her "tummy" was never "growling", that is fab...

Re: [1554] the parts needed

I can't imagine that being the case; "stay on your side of the street, ho" is nowhere near the dynamic that's been established so far between them. Upset at Ping for risking her own safety in a misguided attempt to protect Junko, sure. As much as I like Junko, I cannot pawn her anger at Ping being ...

Re: [1554] the parts needed

We don't yet know the details of why she is as upset as she is... At no point on the spectrum between these extremes do I see room for dismissing Junko's emotions as "dumb" or "hunger-based". I think it is quite likely that Junko is upset because Ping is messing with her "job." However she has more...

Re: [1554] the parts needed

Do werebears get hangry? For sure. But to be fair, most people are capable of being hangry. Not attending to the hungry need can generate anger, or have an influence on becoming angry. Perhaps Junko's emotional state in the comic is due in part to not having a proper meal before setting off on her ...

You forgot "hungry."

If you think that's not an emotion, the friends I still have might disagree with you. :ninja:
Hungry is a need to be attended too... not an emotion in and of itself.

Re: [1554] the parts needed

Girl emotions are dumb... (SHUT UP, TEDDY! This is why people think you are not empathetic.) But I honestly think emotional responses like this are dumb and counter productive. (But it sounds really bad and upsetting when you make remarks like this.) Being honest is bad? (Sometimes, Teddy... sometim...

I continue to predict that the "creeper" crowd will end up longing for the day when he used to be merely a "creepy pedophile" and not the existential horror Fred will craft him into. Oh, I totally feel you on the Buffalo Bill vibe Dr. Feelgood gives off D. That grim, detached look of disdain as he ...

Re: [1550] Raging noises

Looks like we are getting the perspective of Ashe, but the last couple of panels she can see Junko's lips. So I do not understand why her dialogue is obscured. Good job Dr. Feelgood... document away. No sense wasting the chance at a foxgirl cosplayer enthusiast walking away. Film that butt shot for ...
