Re: [1499] Little Reflections

It's pretty obvious from context that Ririka is referring to herself. You'd think after this many years people would learn not to take Invisigoth's bait. But why the hell does he feel the need to bait people in the first place? Isn't it F**king enough for him that he can claim to have some kind of ...

Re: [1499] Little Reflections

Ririka's monologue - great bit of exposition, and apparently we're about to get more of erika's backstory too. I look forward to that. Erika/largo by-play - Largo is not using L33tspeak; ergo he's saying something serious. I like that he admits to jealousy over Erika...also I like that he literally ...

Re: [1498] That Response

For those thinking that Largo is incredibly insightful.....can you seriously imagine Largo watching MG anime? Largo's advice, though really quite practical, is more informed by Tomb Raider than it is by Sailor Moon Which, in my opinion, is precisely what gives him the edge over the fanboys here...L...

Re: [1497] More skilled than sparkly

Why does anyone think that there's any reason to throw anyone off of Yuki's trail? Because the forces of 'order' in Megatokyo have repeatedly demonstrated their willingness to throw massive fire- and man- power into their frantic efforts to contain all known magical girls, and Yuki's power is suppo...

Re: [1497] More skilled than sparkly

The fact that all the fighters feel safe if it's Erika being the magical girl totally cracks me up. The woman is nuclear armament personified. This is starting to look like the male half of the MT population have a collective head injury.

Re: [1496] Outed

So if EVERYONE in the battle (except for Erika and Largo) had Magical Girl proximity alarms, does that mean they were all MTPCD? Including the factions that were supposedly just Miho fans? And oh, boy, is Yuki ever in for it now. Just look at the expression on Mrs. Kobayashi's face. I suspect that Y...

That still makes it really weird that Ninjagirl is the first one to ever mention that she's not Japanese, or act like it. How did SHE know?
This. It bothers me that Ninjagirl is the only one, and I want to know the significance of her being the only one.

Toxic Granny Alert!! Great-Grandma Kitsune sure has the elderly people's habit of letting fly with whatever unfiltered thought pops in to her head. Love 'Mugi in protective mom mode. And I personally think what Yakugashi fears above all else is losing her mother. Looking forward to the next installm...

Re: [1485] - "no idea what is going to happen"

That's really strange, but I figured it didn't matter too much. If Miho is an enduring story type, and she's died a bunch of times, and the story she's forced to live is not who she actually was, than it seems like she could resurrect as a Japanese person, or an African person, or a South American ...

Zom-zom-chan is very cute...but how's a male rent-a-zilla gonna feel about suddenly becoming a girl? Or maybe 'he' was a 'she" all along?

Re: [1484] Desperate

Miho's "I must die I must die" mantra Not a constant one, and not just her either. There's an entire division of the police mobilized to deal with this crisis of her not being dead, various heroes and villains show up to do something about it, backup plans in the form of Ninjas (at least) pre-set t...

Re: [1485] - "no idea what is going to happen"

I love Ninja Girl. She's SO alpha. I wish she was my ninja mom/grandma/whatever. Now i see where Junpei gets his good sense. As for the emerging Miho-is-Irish storyline, from a writing/writer's perspective, the readers will need some explanation as to why the Japanese MT characters haven't treated h...

Re: [1484] Desperate

It's not a delusion when it's your story. https://youtu.be/7tMFs-5FlWk Except that every single character she's interacted with (other than Largo and the horde) actually wants her to live and has gone to quite great lengths to try and get that across to her but she keeps refusing to hear it. She ha...

Re: [1483] Brawler

In 432 Miho refers to herself as "a fragile little Japanese girl", and nobody responds by saying anything like "But you don't look Japanese." So while Miho may not be Japanese (or even Asian), it seems clear that she at least looks Japanese. I'm with DrunkenSailor on this one; Junpei's sister made ...

Re: [1484] Desperate

I'm kind of glad that Ninja Girl has called Miho on her self-hating 'I'd be better off dead and people want to watch me die' delusion...it's about time someone did. Piro has tried but Miho doesn't take him seriously. But Ninja Girl has forced the issue with that knife.

Re: [1483] Brawler

.... one of the weirder things is that some seem to take the whole alternate POV plot device as some sort of excuse for clinging to pet theories. And you're as much of a case in point for that as anybody. I took it as a given that Miho was Japanese, because every else in the story who's an MT nativ...

Wow. If the 'Miho is Irish' theory turns out to be true -!

LOL at the ridiculous amount of flowers in Miho's hair. And I'm thinking this girl is either Junpei's sister or mom. Can't tell her age but she's not giving off a 'grandma' vibe to me.

Re: [1482] not a clear path

Well, I'm not quite sure when it was that this turned into a ninja shounen manga, but so far I'm liking it. Junpei can judo toss a mecha...that's serious chops...the type usually reserved for magical girls. makes me wonder a bit more about Grandma Ninja and the rest of Junepi's family. perhaps they ...

So, just on the basis of Fred dumping his internal creative conflicts all over the Twitch chat this week, I'm concluding that Kimiko is indeed making some kind of physical move on Piro. Re: [1481] Steamy Appreciation

A fan on another chat pointed out something interesting. Notice now Megumi's accent slips in panel three. She sounds a lot like Mugi. I'll bet she makes an effort to "speak proper", but it naturally comes out under stress. I thought the exact same thing. The family resemblance is coming out. And I'...
