Is this where we move forward to all kitsune all the time, now that everything’s settled?
If there's a poll or something then put me down as for this! :>

I just had a thought. Could it be Junko's dad?
No, Junko wouldn't have called her dad "a gentleman", "intelligent", or "mature". Same thing disqualifies Largo.
But Yanagisawa could fit the bill. :)

Now the big question is how many of you know what the name of the famous movie that the original song the song in the commercial parodied came from.

Re: [1498] That Response

For those thinking that Largo is incredibly insightful.....can you seriously imagine Largo watching MG anime? Largo's advice, though really quite practical, is more informed by Tomb Raider than it is by Sailor Moon Back when Largo was first partnering with Yuki and he didn't understand the full pow...

Re: [1497] More skilled than sparkly

In the larger world of kitsune lore, it is said that a kitsune (male or female) grows another tail for every 100 years of their life. Since the maximum lifespan for kitsune is 1000 years, they almost never get beyond 9 tails. but yes, all the tails protrude from the same point at the end of the spin...

Re: [1497] More skilled than sparkly

i suspect that 9 is the highest level personally. This is based on my suspicion that the scale tracks on East Asian/Chinese numerology. Why else do you think that there are no 12 tailed fox girls? Because their ass isn't big enough to fit more than 9????? "The Lady" mother of all kitsune has ...

Looking a the sparklogen detector (https://megatokyo.com/strip/1107) it looks like Yuki is kind of medium-grade, 7.3 on a scale that goes to 12.
It's a logarithmic scale. ;)

Re: [1496] Outed

There are a number of direct observations that any Theory of Yuki needs to explain: 1) Hurling appliances : a teenage girl of Yuki's size and build isn't going to be a able to lift up a washing machine or refrigerator, let alone hurl it out a window. At the very least, "superhuman strength" needs t...

Re: [1496] Outed

I always thought it was pretty clear that Mysterious Saint Tail steals stuff by a combination of distraction, speed, and dexterity. I assumed Yuki's powers are basically the same, though she seems to depend a lot more on speed. I don't see any reason to complicate things by assuming she has ranged ...

Re: [1491] Visiting the Family Shrine [part 2]

There are a few tales which include male kitsune. They are generally depicted as older and wise. "It is a profitable thing, if one is wise, to seem foolish" Aeschylus If it is possible for a kitsune with nine tails to make *all* of them invisible, would it not also be possible to make *all but one*...

Re: [1491] Visiting the Family Shrine [part 2]

I a getting a bit of a Highlander vibe from this and the last comic in combination. It seems fox eats fox eats as many humans as she can/wants... or am I a bit crazy? There are lots of things attributed to kitsune, Mr *Werebear* (whats your mythos BTW?) such as the ability to create complete 'world...

Re: [1491] Visiting the Family Shrine [part 2]

As I understand it ... with three or more tails a kitsune can cast illusions, and so hide tails and ears if desired. That was my understanding as well, Liminaut. I just wasn't sure if Fred-rin's kitusune 'mythos' included that or not. But the standard kitsune mythos says that kitsune actuall grow a...

Re: [1491] Visiting the Family Shrine [part 2]

You folks keep calling Obaa-sama an eight tail, but Yaku said "Cousin Youko told me Great Grandma is really only an eight tail...". That means she actually has 9 tails. Yaku also said "One of Great Grandma's tails IS a different color than all the others...". Considering how long kitsune live, it is...

Re: [1491] Visiting the Family Shrine [part 2]

Maybe its something else. Obaa-sama said "You're really nothin' more dan a loose woman wit a tail 'n ears." Is that a hint at a part of the nature of kitsune as sexually promiscuous monsters that 'prey' on human men? Yaku seems to be drawn as a rather shy dere dere type. Maybe, Mugi is trying to say...

For somebody who spends all their time dying over and over, we might expect at least one clear example of it happening. Yet so far we've seen her die a total of zero times. Yes, we have collapse and a trip to the nurse, a two week mystery between Miho waving at Ed and Yuki locating her, and collaps...
