I think that he's answered the question pretty well

Junpei isn't going to be up to taking on grandmother 8 tail. Possibly Sexy Ninja Granny would be a match for her and should Megumi be able to control her powers then she would be.

I can’t help but think that Piro’s coupling with Kimiko while she is channeling Miho has something to do with Megumi manifesting her true form

I'll be honest, I don't believe that Piro is going to lie to Megumi for any reason and it's possible that he CAN'T lie to her.

Yeah..usually stealing a tail involves said fox losing their life because their spine is attached. Think Predator only without taking the skull I still think the tails aren't real enough to survive on a plaque on the wall. Hot Ninja Grandmother likely has a number of tails in the trophy room

The thing is that kitsune are "monsters" and second or maybe even third class citizens. That is of course assuming that they're considered to be citizens at all. If that is so, why would Komugiko be allowed to be a teacher at a high school? That's like asking why service animals are allowed in publ...

Yes to all of that, but I was wondering more specifically which of her other grandparents was actually kitsune or part kitsune...or if becoming a nine-tail is something that doesn't actually require kitsune genes - Possibly if you're sufficiently closely associated and are of the right temperament?...
