BTW — the castle in panel 1 — anything anyone should recognise from somewhere? :?:
If within genre, looks like Naruto's dwelling in Konoha village :)
I was thinking more along the lines of "Dork Tower", but the outline is wrong. :)

Re: [1517] Nothing Bad

Yay! Comic!

(apologies again to Paarfi.)

And, yeah, I know -- it's not exactly profound commentary. :D

Thanks, Fred.

Re: [Your Input Wanted] Thread Timing/Organization

My two cents' worth: GreyWolfe's idea is the best -- it's simple to implement for the mods, and if people want to spoil the surprise for themselves ...... well..... if they get unhappy, it's their own darn fault.

Re: [1513] - "Play"

I personally never considered Miho a viable option, and not just because she messed with him in a video game, but because of her age. Isn't she still a high school student? It's been discussed here in the forums many times; Miho is older than she looks. I'm going with the theory that she is somethi...

Re: [1508] Somewhere we haven't gone before

It’s funny to look at phones from the very first days of the comic, before iPhones came out. I think Megagamers even had a landline. Ayup. I used to carry a Virgin Mobile "K7 Rave" phone. ...I was about Yuki’s age, and when the main comic’s story ends, I will likely be older than her mother. Good g...

Largo suffers from Premature Ejaculation and so if Piro makes any progress with Kimi, which it seems to be, then he's way way ahead of anything Largo and Erika have achieved. L x E bunted foul and never made it to first base.....

Re: [1497] More skilled than sparkly

Yay, comic!

Sorry 'bout that -- it's not much in the way of commentary. I'm just happy that the strip is getting back to something like a regular schedule.

Thanks, Fred!

Re: [1495] setting off alarms

So, we're going to grant them the Emperor's Redemption, in the cleansing form of nuclear fire? I guess it's still better than the ultimate sanction of Exterminatus . <scratches head> Um, the last I knew, nuclear fireballs aren't exactly clean , and they do a pretty good job of exterminating living ...

Re: [1494] Stay Here

Oh my, a Thief of the Abstract... that could be quite pretty in a certain scary way. Instead of just "I want object X to be at location Y, never mind the intervening points," it would be "I want the universe to be in state Z, and don't hassle me about the details." Potentially much more overpowered...

Re: [1489] if he doesn't see me

He's just following orders. Um, is that supposed to be considered evidence that someone is... not a bad guy? If so, I... well, I can't think of any reasonable response that isn't an auto-Godwin. Well, it can be argued that the rank-and-file German and Japanese soldiers and sailors kept on fighting ...

Re: Wow a revamp!

Yep, I'm weird. And "old" -- 55, halfway to 56. (Yikes! Where did my 30s go? Hell, where did my 40s go??)

I got sucked into Megatokyo in 2005 after being exposed to it at Otakon in ...... 2002? ..... or whenever it was that Fred was there.

And I think one of the forumites is pushing 70 .... ?

Her bow is animated! It shows emotions just like canine ears!
One of the other forumites remarked that Megumi might actually be a kitsune like Mugi, but uses a glamour to hide her ears and tail.

Maybe the ribbon is part of the glamour.
