See, I told you he was totally copying Doctor Who here; "bitches stay in the (TARDIS) kitchen", Patrick Troughton was totally always saying that.

Re: [1537] an answer

No, Ninja are NOT Magical Girls nor boys.... Tell that to the *bleep* ing Naruto –fans ! Meh, the Kagetora fans would side with Inviisigoth on this one, and I'm inclined to agree. Training. Discipline. A f***ing huge bowl of pure white rice at every meal. These are the things that make a Nin...

Re: [1540] alone?

Miho certainly has enough self-loathing for her conscience to treat her like that. AFAIK Miho has exactly zero self loathing. Being stuck in a bind death loop may be pretty awful but that's not going to affect self esteem Not directly perhaps. But a few dozen or so rounds of "people who love her di...

Re: [1540] alone?

Not that I've seen the strip yet, but given the ambiguities people are mentioning, I am wondering if something is going on like the Doctor Who "Hell Bent" episode: in the milliseconds before impending demise, he would "stop" to imagine himself safe in the TARDIS with plenty of time to think of a cle...

Re: Confessions of a beginner translator

I suggest using wwwjdic.com for lists of kanji used for homophones, though you'll have to have a way enter the kana to generate it, as entering Latin characters will result in an attempt to translate English to Japanese. If you're using a Windows computer, you can use the character map accessory to...

More alarmingly (or "charmingly" as T-Wb would put it :P), there is no apparent reflexive gasping intake of air when Yaku rolls her around face-up.

Re: Confessions of a beginner translator

The difference between chikan "masher, molester, pervert" and chikan "substitution, replacement" is a matter of what kanji are used to write each word. Ooh, excellent, thanks tremendously for this. I mean I knew it would be something like this, but I don't know Japanese kanji at all, and in particu...

Edit, just noticed the castle in the background. Did they leap all the was to the U.S., kinda looks like they are near Disney in Florida.
I believe it is meant to be the one seen in the upper left of panel 1 of 1534, i.e. a structure on or near the ninja compound.

Miho is not welcome at or near the Sonoda's... ever... and she knows it. Pff, neither was an undead RAZ but Mr. S didn't get much traction on that one either. I agree with paarfi that he would be very unlikely to go up against the Trouble at Strife on this issue (not for the first time), even if he...

I like the suggestions of dropping Yaku with the Sonada family, aren't the two girls about the same age?

Well, yeah, it would not be a sensible idea, and nobody involved would be happy about it, hence "shenanigans" as I said. Re: [1538] Mad

Taking Yaku to the Sonoda's? That would be all kinds of interesting... Much as I still think the Sawatari shrine would make a bit more sense narratively, the opportunity for shenanigans at the Sonodas' (given that they are presumably still dealing with a presumably still completely pantsless Zilla ...

Junpei still has some respect for his folks. Were it otherwise Dad's crack about using girls as a shield could easily have been countered with, "The way you two using Grandma as shield?". :P To me it more strongly brings to mind Worf's "If you were any other man, I would kill you where you stand" f...

this context does not fit. I am really not making myself clear here. I apologize for that. I am trying to explain that it doesn't "fit" in the original either. Re: [1537] an answer

Do we have any indication how far Junpei's family villa is from Tokyo? 1471 to me seems to imply it's not particularly close. Not that that makes it any closer to Himeji, I just don't see explicit indications that Himeji would be any farther away than any of Junpei's other obvious choices.
