*glomps onto Piro-sempai*

We are nit-picky! Isn't it fun =D

I'm just wondering why he's referring to her as "-san" one moment and "-chan" the next... I'm starting to get the feeling there are two different Pings or something... O.O

Tsubasa probably did not refer to Ping with the "chan" honourific because that would denote someone of great affection or closeness. Wouldn't it? San is the honourific one would use for an everyday person. Like she isn't so important to him.
I do not know. However, if Tsubasa finds his true love could that some how tie in with Piro and Largo? I am eagerly awaiting the next strip and then some.

To my understanding, "san" vs. "chan" is just a level of respect? I dont know for sure, but I think you only use chan for someone younger than you, and someone whom you are close friends with. San is more respectful... I dont know maybe everyone already knows this =)

If not, can someone clarify so I know for sure? Thanks!

That's basically right... though -chan is mainly only used for children, and more often girls than boys.

Oh yeah, the "cool thing" is really a type of puzzle thingy that is nearly impossible to solve after you mix it up (it has patterns set in rows that you need to fix). The reason I know is that I bought one on a trip to tiawan. The funny thing is that I also lost it after day one... (lol, mebbe cus' they roll)

Okay, I have to ask, what the hell is Tsubasa's problem? I'm sorry, purchasing Ping-chan was borderline, but this latest incident has "desperation" written all over it. Is he so lacking in self-confidence that he'll take a near-impossible dream over the possibility of having to actually learn to talk to someone?

No, I think Ping-chan is some sort of mind-control android, capable of ordering people around her to do what she believes is right. Think of it like the Helios AI in Deus Ex.

Perhaps Tsubasa found self-confidence through his interactions with Ping-chan, and was also inspired by Piro and Largo's wild abandon. It doesn't seem like an act of desperation to me -- I think Tsubasa is seeking a life that doesn't revolve around the newest consumer electronics.

FWIW, I know of what I speak. I'm in the middle of a similar life change.

Hmmm... but Tsubasa changes honorifics in mid-letter....
"Please take care of Ping-chan for me"
wouldn't that be rather rude?

me = confused....

First: "Aw, it lost... I'll have to make it stronger..." All I have to say is SU-CHAN! KEWL!

Second: When I read that strip for the first time (thank gawd I wasn't drinking anything) I had just finished watching Love Hina the night before. Piro-san, You are WAY too in to Love Hina. It's a great series, but it borown too much (in my opinion it's Ranma half, Tenchi and MaisonIkukku rolled in to one nice bug reffer and smoked.)

Third: All hail Ping-chan! PING-CHAN! PING-CHAN! PING-CHAN! I want a Ping-chan of my very own. With one problem... it takes on character personalities from the games and interactive Novels you play on your PSX? EEP! I can only Ph34r what my ping-chan would be like. and then what I would do when I figured out how to plug her in to my computer and fiddle with her programing.

"Ping-san has encouraged me."
-- He speaks of her as an influence to him, and thus honorably.

"...take care of Ping-chan."
-- He speaks of her possessively, possibly as a personal belonging (considering that she isn't really human).

Piro, am I on the right track here?

So, what happened to Piro's and Largo's computer setup (and Tsubasa's "new" cable modem service)???

Wow, looks like Tsubasa really screwed them over. Rofl. Careful, one has been known to go into withdrawal just thinking of not being able to access a computer and internet connection for more then 10 minutes at apart.

I'd assume that the -san honorific was more because in that sentence he regarded her as a person (rather than a person who'd specifically influenced him) - but I'd agree. "Ping-san" is someone Tsubasa can talk to and discuss his dreams with, while "Ping-chan" is just a prototype PS2 accessory.

This indicates interesting (in the somewhat-odd sense) mental processes on Tsubasa's part, if it's accurate...

Tsubasa must have loaded PG v0.9 (Persuavive Girlfriend) into Ping by accident. Heheh, with Ping-san here, we can start using all those girlfriend/OS jokes.

You are "A Fool". Rofl. Actually, she is probably just unbearably cute. That and Tsubasa is acting incredibly stupid with his wild abandon. Throwing the piss into the wind and then abandoning his would be friends/leeches. What kind of person? Oh, nm. Prolly what I would do. Haha.

I think this is Tsuaba's payback for them leeching off of him for so long.
