I smell a hint of Love Hina on that strip.....

Hehe, I went to exit the forums and noticed the new strip and was like ... "nani?"

Well I guess some of the speculation was correct. Tsubasa did sell everything except Ping-chan and the PS2 then disappeared.

That's not Love Hina you're smelling, you're smelling a Japanese story as old as can be. You kidding me? Osananajimi (childhood friends née love interests) are a staple of dating sims and other romance manga...

Somehow this predicament smells like "Hand Maid May," "Hanaukyo Maid Tai" and "Koutetsu Tenshi Kurumi" series all wrapped up in one...

Or perhaps it's the strong smell of sake tempting me to drink by the cupfull... mmm... sake...

Well, my guess earlier about the Next Big Thing being the great hunt for housing was right. No plane tickets for you, Piro.

That does appear to be a rather extreme action by him. "pursuing your dreams" aside, since he's one of the rare people to be testing the ping-prototype (and considering how much he "invested", _I_ sure would think twice before running off like that.
I'd say, "test" ping first, then afterwards go "dreaming" .
Of course, it still could be a bit of subterfuge....to get away from P&L and maybe from the ping "developers" since there may have been a bit of over-pledging of money maybe...

Wow... I didn't see this coming... They're just going to cut tsubasa out of the story?!

I dunno if Tsubasa's actions stateside will be "followed" but it might make an interesting point of view....comparing both group's "actions".

Well, It's been a long weekend, but it has also been well worth the wait... I was half right in my Tsubasa leaving, but as to the reasons... ah, that was a bit off. Tsubasa selling everything... well... almost... to follow his first true love, across the seas in the US, yet he doesn't even remember her name... I haven't seen it yet, but from what I've heard, shades of Love Hina all the way... Sigh, a friend brought the entire series fansubbed to the FIRST competition in Orlando, and I didn't borrow them, or even watch them... Ah, oh well, I can't wait to see where this is going.

I'm willing to bet that this will be the last time we see tsubasa-san for a long, long, long time...

Hope we'll see him again soon.
Go tsubasa-san, and don't let any difficulty impede your progress!

Hunt for housing in middle of Tokyo, eh? Life not look easy for you, young man... I have to say i was rather surprised to hear/read/see that Piro can actually make enugh money to buy 2 plane tickets in a month. GAMERS must be paying him well. Now he has to look for a place to live, pay for food (and probably electricity for Ping-chan), AND buy plane tickets. Looks like he's going to be stuckin Japan for a while...

That's because we, the MT staff, talk to Emi-chan and Tanzy from "Okashina Okashi" on daily basis. We are on same chat channel all the time and talk about anime, games, and bunch of other stuff.

I'd say the trouble was that he tested it a little too thoroughly... better file a beta report on that one.

Tsubasa's not necessarily gone, though. He said he'd write soon, although how he plans on tracking Piro and Largo down without a stable address is beyond me (Ed and Dom, maybe? Does he know them?).

Wouldn't put it past Largo to crash his place, and bring Piro and Ping with him too, which will solve (albeit temporary) their housing problem.

...unless they manage to make Junpei, too, go to America to find the true meaning of l33tness.

Interesting indeed; I wonder how this will affect the subplots??

But how long could Junpei really stand to have Largo and Piro rooming with him? They drove Tsubasa away, and I don't know if Junpei could really stand to have the l33tmaster around THAT much.
