Am I really the first on here to see part 2? Wow!
Great mad hatter/wizard look for Largo, though I don't quite see how cardboard boxes make an army. |

I liked the bit with the "Multitimbral Multitool found un a big blue box". "Multitimbral" wouldn't happen to mean it's sonic, would it?

Oh poor Erika. I have a feeling that while she's game for whatever Largo offers, she was kinding of hoping for a different offering....
Gotta love the Boo. Squ33k! Hmm, so Erika is offering an interesting hint into what Miho was also trying to say to Piro. That is to say, Miho's NOT making it up, Erika also has some knowledge of the same sort. This post has been edited by Patty Acer on Jun 20 2012, 04:48 PM |

Yes, it would. Mahou Shoujo/Puella Magi Madoka Magica says hi. And Boo is a PMMM fanboy. Saints preserve us. |

Good thing he can replace them. Largo's probably already heavily modded this one. |

First
Second. Largo's " Just one more" makes me think he is mutch more conciously clued in than he has be given credit for up til now. Third, Erika ROCKS. |

Is it just me, or did Erika just reveal that even if she's not a magical girl herself, she knows how they work? And about zombies too?

Did Piro make the call? And is Largo going to save them from the hordes?

Erika is completely absorbed into Largo's reality. It's pretty cool. Her communication with Boo is probably the first time we have proof that Boo and Seraphim are as they've been presented to be. She acknowledged Boo in the past (as did Ping once), but one could have still made the argument that the hamster was real and it was just Largo assigning intelligent attributes to his pet.
Does this mean Erika would be able to see Seraphim as well? Unlike Miho who obfuscates everything, Erika would probably not hesitate to tell Piro she can see Seraphim. |

Erika played a Magic Girl on Screen; So - of course, she knows how they work. Plus she knows what Meimi is. ... Erika is/was an Idol. Which may also cue her in to what a "zombie" is in her worldview.
Power wise - she is a neutron bomb to the precision primordial chaos LOVE lasers locks onto. So a newbie and chastened Magic Girl (assuming Meimi doesn't get her old gang together) and an Idol may be up to the task. Largo and mostly Boo can take down the henchmen and feel useful. What is key and what most are missing happens to be - this isn't Miho's fault. QED. |

Only for the right kind of guy. We saw what a disaster her relationship with Hitoshi turned out to be. I'd say she seems like the perfect girlfriend for Largo. And that's plenty good enough. |

Hitoshi knew what a toxic bitch from hell she really is. Largo is too consumed with saving the world from zombies to pay attention. Besides, he probably likes being slapped around occasionally |

One guy's bitch is another guy's kitten.
Hitoshi shaped Hayasaka into the woman she is today. Her failed relationship with him, combined with his lies about the Sonoda family (lies that Sonoda Meimi never corrected, odd that) worked to effectively cause her to destroy her career. The fact Largo isn't into her for sex (boobs, yes, but not sex) and after a few smacks upside the head has allowed her to make her own mistakes (and white knight only when given permission) helped to make this relationship work for now. No, she was already a lying, abusive diva. Hitoshi had the guts to finally tell her to get lost and she had to take a look in the mirror and confess what a lie her whole image really was. |

Well, you're looking at the comic through Invisigoth-Vision, in which Largo is a complete loser and drunkard, Piro a whiny brat who should shut up and do whatever Tohya tells him, Tohya as Goddess, and on down the line. Your perspective is no more or less valid than that of anyone else, especially as Fred fully intends on readers to read the comic through the lens of their own perceptions and decide upon the comic as they choose.
From what we've seen in flashbacks and the like, Hayasaka was not a lying abusive diva. She did get caught up in her career and failed to notice that Hitoshi was wavering in his interest in her... until finally his ego exploded and he did everything in his power to ensure she self-destructed so he wouldn't regret abandoning her. And do note, Inspector Sonoda was quite surprised to learn she'd been told to stay away from his and Meimi's kids. If she were the abusive diva you claim I kind of doubt he'd have been nearly so willing to bring her back into the lives of his family. |

Wrong, Piro is a very dangerous but reluctant street fighter whom Largo relies on to pull him out of trouble when he lets his mouth write a check that his ass can't cash. |

Largo and Piro (and Erika and Kimiko, and Miho Meimi Ping Yuki, etc) instead of or versus those out here. as if there's really a difference between them. If we want to put it that way. A battle of perception coupled with a random capricious mix of within and without and in flux with m36470|<y0. As human as Ping, and as inhuman as Miho, and as naught but a bystander of sorts such as Yanagisawa or Yutaka, and everywhere in between.
The people are partly what Fred has made them and partly what we have made them and partly neither. What he adds and what we take, into a sum greater than the pieces. At least that's what the characters keep telling us. Not everyone wants to listen to them though, which is cool too. |

Actually fan opinion makes zero difference and doesn't really matter at all. Stuff if made available as time goes by and frequently is just ignored when it contradicts some cherished bit of "fanon"
Of all the Fred-herrings that have been tossed to the fans and especially SD the fact that the one they will swallow hook line and sinker is "everyone's PoV is valid" should not surprise anyone but it is very very sad indeed This post has been edited by Invisigoth on Jun 21 2012, 11:37 AM |

Sure it isn't. Of course not everyone's PoV is valid, as some unassailable ever-perception in the face of "established fact". Even if it turns out later to be a lie or something that has given the wrong information. Besides that, nothing that's one way at one point has to stay that way for eternity, either. There's not even always a real genuine authentic PoV in play in the first place. No PoV in operation (other than the one Fred established, the one he gave us) that Miho dared Piro to make the call. No opinion on Yutaka being in the state he's displaying, no perception that we're reading fiction, no arguing that we last saw Kimiko in 1284. As long as anything is left open to interpretation, any question is left unanswered, some fact not established true or untrue, a single opinion remains unverified. Then the opinion of fan, reader, viewer; lover or hater, the in-tune, the indifferent, the emotionally engaged, the casual observer does not make zero difference at all. It's all there is. Plus as we know, the intent of even the author doesn't necessarily even make a difference when it comes to stories having a life of their own. As we've been told and shown many times. http://megatokyo.com/strip/1240
