[filk}, "Hail, Miho"

As the first Miho-Thrall, I was inspired when the high-priest Sareth first used the phrase "Hail, Miho." Anyway, I've been working on this for awhile and it finally came together tonight. Enjoy, I hope! [With apologies to the Holy Mother.]

Magical Miho, Gamer of Power, use and guide us your thralls, now and until our death. Amen.

I'm not Catholic, so I could be wrong... but isn't that the Hail Mary prayer?

The beat is a little off. And it should be Dominant, not dominate.

It kinda rubs me the wrong way that you'd filk a prayer, too... but that's purely personal. Um. I hope you did some Hail Marys after creating this!

Which part? The reference to Miho having a nice arse? I can't say I've really noticed but a few people have commented on it before.

I didn't reference her death at all. I merely conceded that she had been hit by a cannon. Blackadder the Third was hit by a cannon and became Prince Regent as a result.

She wasn't hit by A, 'Numero Uno', cannon! She was hit by 9 VISIBLE cannons! And I only mentioned the VISIBLE ones! Who knows how many other cannons she could've been hit by, from the OTHER direction!

Okay, the number of cannons she was hit by isn't really a matter, but.. Get your facts right

You are correct, M'Lady Zippo!! I sometimes have a dysfunctional relationship with syntax.

Corrected version follows:

Regarding the beat, the real Hail Mary is pretty loose prose and lacks a consistent metre so I'm not worried about that. I did try to echo the references in each line to the original; in fact, the last phrase is almost verbatim.

Mother of zombies? I hadn't thought of that. Okay, changing my title for her from "Our Unholy Unmother of Goth" to "Our Unholy Mother of Goth." It parodies things much more nicely. (Yes, yes, I know I'm going to Hell in a handbasket. Trust me, if parodying Catholicism was the worst thing I'd ever done I wouldn't wear asbestos undies when I walk past churches.)
