I keep thinking of Ralph S. Mouse. "Vrooom! Vrooom!". Seriously I would finally have no guilt about getting a sports car if it were one of these. And I would probably start getting speeding tickets. I have been driving 10 years and no speeding tickets; likely something to do with driving a shit-brown camry.

The 'Attack' at least is Rice, but with heavy amounts of cabbage and sour cream.

The Enigma is being built by college kids and is mostly American:
Same team is working to produce the below via Challenge X: Crossover to Sustainable Mobility: The General Motors Corporation (GM), the U.S. Department of Energy, and other government and industry leaders have developed Challenge X: Crossover to Sustainable Mobility. This ground-breaking, three-year competition will provide engineering schools an opportunity to participate in hands-on research and development with leading-edge automotive propulsion, fuels, materials, and emissions-control technologies. Seventeen teams will re-engineer a GM Equinox, a crossover sport utility vehicle to minimize energy consumption, emissions, and greenhouse gases while maintaining or exceeding the vehicle's utility and performance. Challenge X shows that the cooperation of industry, government, and academia is the best approach to develop mor e energy-efficient and "greener" automotive technologies, to improve our economy and our environment, and to keep North American technology competitive on a global basis. The competition also helps develop hundreds of highly skilled engineers with a greater awareness of these technologies — preparing them to lead the automotive industry in the 21st Century. ![]() Technical Goals and Objectives: A high performance parallel hybrid vehicle operating on bio-diesel fuel and batteries through the use of an AC Propulsion 150 kW AC induction motor and a 1.9 L Fiat Diesel Engine. Highlights of our design also include: a 3 Speed Lenco CS-2 Racing Transmission, a Goodyear Eagle PD belt drive torque coupler, Optima 51D Series spiral wound lead acid batteries and it will all be controlled through a National Instruments cRio PXI Chassis. |

nah, rice is a ff import with a huge fart can and rims so big that they sit in the car crooked.
and don't forget, that wing needs to be a giant bench for it to be rice. This post has been edited by halfbreed on Aug 19 2005, 08:18 PM |

hmmmm those stats do not look to shabby. On paper It would seem like they both would corner well, and the power to weight ratio seems cool.
and 49/51 balance for the attack!?!?! cool! I like. A 7 second 0-60 is not bad, com'on these are HYBRIDS built by students. Mad props. |

If you're talking about the red car, then that isn't a spoiler, its to hold the roof onto the car(remember the old t-tops in firebirds/camaros?). It does look like a newer Lotus Elise. If you're talking about the black one, I got 3 words for you: puff puff pass. This one looks like an Aston Martin. |
