Ok. I know there was probably at least ONE Love Hina dating sim. But...I don't know where to find it. Was it an H game? Was it translated into english? Is it available in the United States? What system is it for? I am so confused.

Let's see... if you look through <a href="http://donut.parodius.com>The Whirlpool</a>, you'll find the GBA Love Hina spinoff mentioned. The game was 100% fan translated. You can find the cart on Ebay here and there, but it's not worth the $60 on Himeya. I recommend using a GBA flash cart to patch on the fan translation and avoid getting into trouble. Details about flash carts at www.gameboy-advance.net.
Love Hina GBA is an okay little story-based game. Short and not awesome, but I liked the timed decisions. There's also a fan-made game from forkheads.tk. It has some neat gameplay ideas, but the writer didn't even try to maintain characterization. This has been discussed in the past, I'm sure... feel free to look through the archives. So says the Taiyaki Fan. (livejournal.com/users/taiyakifan) Watch the Air anime. Worship Misuzu. Repeat. |

If the fan-made one is the one with the Love Hina characters all being insane violent drunken druggies, I don't think that's to be taken seriously. I believe it was intentionally meant to be for humour, so plot and dialogue are to be taken at face-value only in my opinion.
Anyway with regard to commercial Love Hina games, tried GameFAQs? This is the result I got for "Love Hina" http://www.gamefaqs.com/search/index.html?...ve+hina&x=0&y=0 Due to the nature of Love Hina, already being about romance, most probably have some element of 'ren'ai" in them. Although it would have to be through checking up the game titles on the net (Google or whatever) that you discern as to how much the romance is a component of the game. Some may be more geared towards puzzle or action. The PS2 game, the abbreviated english title is "Love Hina Gorgeous". Which has been mentioned a couple of times here on the forums so if you do a search here for that title, you should get some results with mroe information if interested. The usual advice presented in the FAQ applies as well to the UK as anywhere. With the exception that Himeya don't stock any Love Hina games at the moment. (But if all you want is to play a "Dating Sim", they do stock Tokimeki Memorial for the PS1, which is a classic of the genre.)

I thought Love Hina GBA had US version already. I already had it through all but one secret ending. I didn't saved the file on computer so I need to play all over again now. Feels just like the anime but with alternate endings.

Read, man. I heard there was one made for the Dreamcast and a PS2 game for Love Hina a year back. I had a picture of the art, but not right now. ~Chun |

Just a note...
A basic search with "Love Hina" in the title gives out 33 answers, many of which are about the games... |

2 for DC, 2 for PSX, 2 for GBC, 1 for PS2 1 for GBA. None of them really impressive, though story-wise I preferred the DC games. |
