Devil Don't Care [disc/rec], renewal vs. revival

Are we having multiple fights in one day, or one fight each day?

Since the opening announcements said that this contest would only last until nightfall the following day, you will have to bunch the fights in some way. I leave it up to you the players if you wish to have your character fight back to back challenges, or have them spread out over the 30 hours until the end of the contests.

P.S. players are expected to win all five fights to gain the mantle prizes at the end of this first part.

I would also like to point out that you don't have to use all the abilities that I have given each of your opponents. These NPCs are all trying to last five fights as well. If they blow everything on the first fight they have nothing to bring to the next one.

I know this is gonna haunt me until I do this.

Name: Darkmoon Silverleaf
Class: Hunter
Gender: female
Age: 25
Appearance: 5'5" athletic build of a runner/gymnast, short  black hair tipping just below her ears with a single silver lock. Bright green eyes in a golden face completes the portrait of this silent form. Dressed in muted brown and gray leathers and hides, she manages to disappear in the barren surroundings with minimal effort. A silver poision ivy vine tattoo coils around her neck like a collar down to her chest just below where neck meets , a bow with double cocked arrow twined with a snake sits branded deep within. Anyone with Mage abilities will sense a darkness spreading from it while others that are sensitive will just get an uneasy feeling.

Style: avoid notice, eager hands, trapper

Weapons: dual hunting knives, bow/quiver of arrows, pouch of poisons (both plant, animal, and demon)

Equipment: extra arrowheads and bow string, sewing kit, pouch of cooking/preparing herbs, small ball of leather strips, ball of string, firestarter, bandages (strips of leather, hide, an cloth) pouch of travel rations, water flask (made from animal hide and stomach), rolled up waterproofed hide (can be used as blanket or rain cloak) gthat holds a second pair of moccasin boots and shirt/pants as well as a small axe and shovel.

History: Darkmoon has no memory of her life before she was found wandering the barrens below Fire Mountain by the nomadic Fox Clan at the age of 13. No one in the Fire Mountain Clan Council recognized the tatoo or strange brand on her so the clan shaman took her in and taught her the clan's traditions. But it was the clan chief that taught her the skills of the Hunter. Her quick hands and natural ability to disappear in her surroundings seemed to call her. Over the 9 years with them, her skills in traps and poisons grew but she is only passable withh bow. She much prefers her knives and poisons in close combat. After a tragedy at the annual Clan Council meeting, Darkmoon was the only one that could answer the summons.

Clan: Fox Fire Mountain Clan
Clan History: when the demons came through several of the Native American tribes vanished into their ancestral lands and returned to the old ways while avoiding the demons all together. The Fox Clan is one of the resulting clans from the Fire Mountain area (Mt St Helen area). They are a free nomadic clan that specializes in Hunting. There are a few other clans in the same area that all cooperate to survive each clan specializing in a certain class. After a tragedy at the annual ClanCouncil meeting, only a small handful of Fox Clan members remain.

I am going to be out of state for the next five days, so I will not be able to post anything for the time being.

I hope to come back to some posts, but there will be no pressure until I get back.

Not in a murderous rage about random flings from my new room mate and her cousin trying to burn down the apartment by drunkenly lighting the stove under glass pans and also leaving the fucking gas on so I wake up to the house drenched with that anymore so will likely post after work tomorrow or on friday.

Hate to say this, but i am currently going through a divorce. It was kind of sprung on me, so i'm still getting myself righted after being knocked down. If i am scarce, i apologize, but i am going to try to use writing to help quell the silence of my now empty house.

I have returned after my week away from the computer.

I would like to avoid posting directly after my last story post, so I will give everyone until Wednesday night for their first post, then I will post mine weather or not something else is up yet.

And as I have stated in another thread, I may not pray much but you will be in my thoughts CNT.

I think i am going to have to drop from this one. I find my muse being fickle and i reread my posts and find that I am just not interested. Sorry man.

Are you guys still interested in playing forward? Has life eaten you up? Have other things taken president over the forums, or this game?

Someone please let me know why we have started to stall out already.

Including myself, we have five players, and it seems that we are down to three posting at the moment.

Sorry, I have a trig class and that's been a bit of a pain, since it requires that I study more than I usually do. I should get something up soon, though.

Say, do we have to write 5 posts for our characters' fights, or can we skip some of them?

the five fights are sort of a way of having each of our characters show how they deal with the other PC powers in play. if you don't wish to actually show all five in vivid detail, then have a quick conversation about the ones you jumped past, or a bullet point of memory about how you beat the last opponent, or a flash back of standing over them.

remember that all classes have abilities that can only be used a certain amount of times a day. a little of what these fights are about is showing that everyone gets exhausted, and need to resort to wits beyond their normal abilities sometimes. by the fifth fight most of these contestants should be just about tapped, and working on their wits, instead of straight ability. that also means that your opponents should be running on fumes the closer to the final one (the one that is the same class as you are).

I have a few prizes ready for the characters by the end of the fifth fight.

I'm still here only having a hard time getting the iPad to get on the web lately. I'll try to have something up soon also.

I live again... Most problems sorted out or off my shoulders now and my moodswings have stabilized for now. Going to post for my fights tonight~

Edit: First two up and I don't find it unreasonable to believe that Grigori would be haunted by the crazed, vengence hungry spirit of his grandfather. The old man went so far as to rename the kid and give him a monstrous quest.

He may tormented by the soul of his grandfather. However he should not be able to perceive the spirit that is doing so. His mind is twisting, yet he still can't see or hear or feel his grandfather.

He knows nothing of it but the shaman would see it attached to him. So would any they encounter including Hatsu's character.

Grigori: "Eh?"

Sakura: "Well, I say 'over', but he's perched on your back most of the time..."

And if you described it to him he would likely cackle and say it was the will of Rasputin approving his path or some such thing and become more fanatical.
