This is off topic, but I can't wrap my head around why a mod of all people would commit necromancy. Especially since there are presumably good reasons why it is a bad idea. Couldn't you have started a new thread, and if this thread is relevant simply post a link to it in the new thread?
I'm not complaining, I'm just perplexed. If you, or anyone else can give me an explanation I would appreciate it.

I always intended for this thread to be something I could pull back up whenever there was occasion for it. Some things aren't really worth a thread on their own. Necromancy is looked down on in general because most people don't do it right.

I noticed that the Kimiko-san protection people all wore items that said NPC on them. I thought that was funny

I agree with this, especially when you think about how NPC is usually the abbreviation for "Non-player Character"

That dude who cosplayed as the magical girl...Can't decide if it was funny as hell or just plain scary...

I guess this came to me from IRC. #fredrin? I don't remember anymore.

Let's see if I can hotlink the image:

I decided to add the obligatory Largo reference in the comments. Right under the Doctor Who and Rainbow Dash references.

Strange synchronicity, or Fredrin tapping a gestalt? Or just silly coincidence...

http://japandailypress.com/no-337-no-longe...sazanami-116389

"The Humboldt penguin that escaped from Tokyo Sea Life Park and spent 82 days on the loose before recapture will no longer be known as “No. 337.” The runaway has been given the name of Sazanami, which has the meaning of “small waves” in Japanese. As part of the penguin’s return to public viewing last month, the aquarium launched a campaign asking for visitors to submit name suggestions."

He was obviously "|=1337" of "|=007" to have stayed free that long...

I think the " |=1_337|\|355 " you refer to may have been equal (possibly even greater) in his " \/\/1|\|65 ". sleep.gif

(woeisme.gif) I apologize for being off topic (and hope this doesn't completely derail the one you started here[unsure.gif]), but after reading the story about the penguin you linked to (yes, I did kinda like it ) I couldn't help noticing the "… real working Gundam" one. blink.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif
As much as I would like to see it actually happen (wub.gifcool.gif), I don't think it's close enough to tecnologically possible (not to mention, close enough to technologically and economicaly feasable) yetsleep.gifdry.gif, nor do I think it will be for a very long time. sad.gif (mad.gif)
