Assuming he wasn't inventing or imagining it, we do know that Junpei said he was tasked to make Miho's story end. (More literally, an emergency termination order was given by head ninja. For stability purposes. Whatever that entails from their perspectives.) Seemingly, he is the backup plan, which is that he can (or is supposed to appear to be the one who could actually succeed in causing) this story to finish, by having Miho die like she is supposed to at the end of things. Although that's not exactly correct either? Most of this has revolved around Piro attempting to not let it end like usual. Which, we don't know how it ends like usual, really, do we. Or at least we see she keeps returning.

Then there's some kind of meta blurring and combining of fact and fiction. That is, the real thing as not fake or artificial, in that the emotions associated with it are from truth and actuality on some level, where the observer and participant can feel it. Still, the fans are fans of what is within these stories and paths, not of the real world in its random capricious unknowable chaotic ways. What she is the Analogues for ends up at some strength and linkage within that fiction. Or at least she's said things like that, and others have acted in ways that suggest they believe it's how things are. Miho herself though is not supposed to have fans she says, it isn't about her as an actual person directly. Such as at least Kenji and Mugi thinks there's things that can't happen and yet do, both in the CoE before Miho shows up and after, now, ongoing. The interrogator appears unaware of what Miho is doing or Piro's part in it in 1271.

Yet most all of this is about Miho directly, in many ways, mixed in with notional or actual stories of who she is someplace such as in Endgames (before, now; alive, dead, both, neither) or as the pregnant ex-pirate lass locked away story tapering off into nothing in game-terms. More; sparring with Ed, Kimiko's manner of bringing more to the role than exists in it, or what happened with Erika before and after quitting in a spectacular way, whatever happened with Meimi or Junko, interactions with Yuki in a variety of inconsistent contexts, even Ping. Or here trying to take on a persona and appearing to fail didn't read the script, didn't practice the song. Unless that's just another role. But what is the story, and where is it supposed to take place. How much has bled out of or into MT proper and isn't where it's supposed to actually be.

Here Miho appears to keep trying to enter back into things anyway, even though she should know what doing so will accomplish (as much as she's talked about drawing The Horde and such things), but she's not aggressively following it at all. Because she can't, won't, or really wasn't serious about it to begin with. We can only guess.

Who was it that allegedly tasked the head ninja to create or send a failsafe, and for whose purposes? Piro? TPCD? Other Analogues? Nobody? We did see Miho herself appear to cancel the ranger zombie rampage at Ikebukuro, and then go meet up with them, on her way to some things including Ed's story. Or whatever that actually was. Is this anything like it, or as real as when she fought with Meimi, vanished for Junko, sacrificed herself for Erika or Yuki, or bonded with Kimiko and her portrayal and feelings, or poured out her heart to Piro in those delightfully informationally-devoid ways of hers. For results though, as far as we know what Junpei did was actually just as acceptable as removing her from the picture "emergency termination" style. On lines with Meimi neutralizing Largo by putting him on a plane. Or the way it worked out, pairing him up with Erika.

So in the misty mystery of the dividing lines between real and fantasy, who is calling the shots here and now? Can we at all trust that what Miho is doing now isn't as planned out and on purpose as anything she's previously done. That's as easy to answer as what purpose, if any, she had for being in Endgames doing what she did.

The thing of it is....the more she lies, the more she's going to get tangled up in that web. Hilarity normally ensues after this.

I'm pretty sure that her interrogator isn't going to allow the lies to continue for much longer

It's almost like they took Mami and Asako and combined them, added a few years, what have you.

Either way, this one here, Junpei's sister or otherwise, doesn't appear to be taking this all too seriously. Make-believe pretend being what it is. Whatever she actually knows of the situation or really wants to do. Aside from playing dress-up with her new buddy.

Iffy, I've been thinking since the beginning of the chapter that Miho needs someone to brush her hair.

It's a very serious and important thing!

I remember paarfi saying that work was going to be done on forums to make them more stable. I don't know if it's more that work, or coincidence, but they've been working way better for me the last comic or two. Awesome!

Also, it's great how many new comic pages we're getting.

Maybe that is Junpei. Maybe he has one of those curses, or something.
