One thing before I start - I don't think this is the best place to post this, but since the CW section asks for finished stuff, and this is a WIP concept atm, I don't know where else to stick it. If any mods are feeling nice, please feel free to tell me where I should move it to (or move it yourself if you're feeling REALLY nice). Anyway, with that note aside...

Here's what the Worldview Project is! (Little story to fill everyone in...)
After a rather odd conversation during Freds most recent livestream, the folks present managed to come up with a rather amusing idea: could we create a visual novel (or write a light novel), with anthro'ed versions of the very world and culture itself as the main characters?
Needless to say, brainstorms for possible characters were quickly done, and after coming up with some basic ideas (and after some sudden fangirling over SP-chan, but I'll spare you the details), I took it upon myself to make a note of these ideas, and offered to develop them further, given the massive number of opportunities such a thing would present for creativity (and metaphorical messages).

My main point for posting this, however, is that since I didn't solely come up with this idea, I don't consider it a personal project. Also, posting it somewhere more permanent than the livestream chat will allow for a better recorded conversation for noting ideas down, and for more than just those of us originally present to give some input. And I can't think there's a better target audience/critics than fellow MT readers.

So, what we've got so far:
There are 4 main "girls" so far;
Nature-tan, the shy, moody, ignored, but apparently average girl.
Scientific-Progress-tan (SP-chan!), the irritatingly confident child prodigy.
Religion-"sama", the traditional, arrogant and uptight would-be "older-sister".
Politics-tan, the wannabe controlling, formal and polite, yet confusing TRAP (Oh yeah, I don't fully understand why, but this was insisted upon).

The plotlines suggested would obviously be based on which girl was chosen, as with other VNs. Examples include letting nature or science take over the world, getting the girls to actually get along with one another, and lots of other stuff. Including H stuff, but I won't go into that in detail (What can I say, yuri is just an irresistable topic, even during brainstorming).

Anyway, that's the basic character outlines and plots. I'll post up some suggestions for appearances, further personality details, possible "powers", and even some of the plotlines once they're more fully worked out and hopefully this has gotten a bit of feedback. If any of the folks from the chat get here first, don't worry guys, I remember the suggestions for plotlines!

Any and all critique, suggestions, etc, welcome. I'll be pointing to this thread during the next livestream for any of the guys on there that aren't normal forum-goers.

PS: Worldview is the WIP title, I have no idea if that's what the "official" name would be should anything seriously come of this.
