Megatokyo Forums > Story Discussions > Haiku: [317] A little too 3D for a 2D girl

Posted by: Mintaka Oct 2 2002, 07:52 AM
Character or girl,
Reality is hard to take --
Breaks preconceptions.

Comfortable cliches
Mouthing lines we've heard before
Dull doll world -- undead.

Change hurts -- maker first,
Then the reader -- hear them cry --
Newborns forced to breathe.

But be real. Be hurt.
Make hard choices. Dead patterns
Can never taste joy.

Ping understands not,
Of the intricacies and
The meaning of love.

She thinks she is flawed,
In that Piro does not love
Or indeed, care for her.

Miho says that she
Is realistic, more than the
Average 2D girl.

Now, Ping's feelings are
Mixed, in an endless swirl
Of thoughts intwining.

But, she knows one thing.
For her breakfast, she wants "one
Of those waffle things."

Is ping too 3-D?
If you trust miho she is,
but should we trust her?

what is asked now is
if miho is playing ping,
or plays she Piro?

Whatever it be,
erika was there to see.
Now, what might do she?

//--irish haiku--

the always important breakfast scene,
reveals a conversation all not too lean,
of real girls and fake,
and orders to take,
Erika is to listen in very keen.

Erika knows now,
Piro's not as perverted
As Kimiko thought.

//limerick
Now Erika's in a real stew,
We just don't know what she'll do!
Tease Piro a lot
About his robot,
Or tell Kimiko what's actually true?

love is a virus
miho knows this, that is why
she's testing with ping

why let love inside
when it seeks to kill the heart
and burden the mind

tis better to watch
from afar, enjoy life's games
through observation
let your defense down just once
and love shall destroy your soul

A coincidence
Aiding Piro much more than
Promises of truth

2D, 3D,
Upset Ping, and be prepared to engage in melee,
2D is nice but the pixel shaded pump-maping of 3D is l33t.
"-smack-"

Ping-chan is worried
she confides fears to Miho
seeking her support

Erika, strong girl
hear the younger girls talking
fear greatly, Piro!

on their way to school
two friends talk over waffles
talk of love and life

such dear friends they are
thought she was for ren'ai games
they act like sisters

Erika,

Perhaps the fanboy
has more merit than I thought..
might do her some good.

Miho,

The questions she asks,
are echoes of my own pain.
Why am I not loved?

Ping,

How I am too real?
Tohya, tell me what to do..
just make him like me.

Those who are brave do.
Those who are not, they're the ones
who write about it.

[!haiku-- meant as an observation about myself rather than anything directed at you, vespira. It just popped into my head when I read that tanka of yours.

And on another note, we've got some *good* stuff in here today... and we're only at 9 posts so far. Wai~! Haiku-ish strip, ne? ^^ --]

illuminated
by discovery's soft glow
of adoration
of rejection and spurned love
Erika casts doubt's shadows

[irish_haiku]
Unexpected, I would say this is not.
A revelation of Piro and his 'bot.
Reality summed up
On top of the cup:
"Warning: the content may be hot."

I need to be liked
I need to be wanted, loved
I must not be real.

Posted by: Caduceuskun Oct 3 2002, 07:30 PM
Are you aware that
What you posted above this,
Is not a haiku?

Posted by: stFalcon5 Oct 3 2002, 07:33 PM
In Megatokyo
many hearts criss cross between
none want 3D girl

Posted by: DemonMiko Oct 4 2002, 12:01 AM
[!haiku] lmao, so true VonSudden! Even out here in mundane-real-world, lol[/!haiku]

Erika watches
Information come to light
ponder the fanboy

You're here too often
write haiku on math tests
for extra credit

[!haiku] don't think I messed up the middle line, haiku is 3 syllables (ha i ku)[/!haiku]

3D carries risk
while 2D is guaranteed;
take the better odds.
it's enough like happiness
that we don't need the real thing
