Rumble on the roof!
Asmodeus thinks he'll win.
Wrong. Beatdown beckons.

<joke>
(Ack! The Princess Bride
Told us what it really means
To say "As you wish"!

Cruising for bruising
Must be for hentai reasons.
Demons? Hentai? Shock!)
</joke>

A soul tormented
Such beings once warred with swords
Summer into fall.

A formal challenge:
Ventilation is a must.
Who are the seconds?

Posted by: DeosArcana Aug 19 2002, 08:06 AM
Asmodeus is
Reject from Miami Vice
Get some new threads, man.

Seraphim's attire
Leaves little to be desired
Whoo! Conscience Cleavage!

<!haiku> Please don't hit me for that, I couldn't resist. </!haiku>

The War of Conscience
To see who controls Piro
This shall not end well.

[tanka_tanka] (as Garran was fond of saying)

An age-old conflict,
the battle between morals.
It's all in your mind.
Fought while perched on your shoulders,
and with every word you speak.

[/tanka_tanka]

[!haiku] It feels like there's something profound trying to come out in this, but I just can't find it... Anyone else want to do me one better? [/!haiku]

the tradition is
for conciences to wrestle...
erk! perish the thought!

[irish_haiku]

Says the angel, "If fighting's your plan,
"Pick a time and a place for your stand;
"But choose a location
"With good ventilation,
"'Cause the bat-s**t will soon hit the fan."

"As you wish, prissywings," says the bat,
"But know well that I will not hold back!
"On the roof in one hour
"Prepare for my power -
"You'll be angelfood cake, spattered flat!"

speculation...

Will Asmodeus fight fair and true,
Or enlist the odd demon or two?
But Seraphim's lucky
To have as a buddy
For back-up: a hamster named Boo...

...hmmm, this might be trickier than I thought.

There is no such thing
As unfair demons. "No rules"
Is a rule as well.

All you have to learn
Is anarchy. For angels,
This is difficult.

Asmodeus thinks
That Angels have no power
And Demons can rule;

More fools they, lacking
lore; the Fallen were singers;
Angels kept fighters!

The fighting third are
fighting on Seraphims side;
Asmodeus falls.

The apple logo
has faded from his forehead.
But still he goes on.

To answer the call.
Battle looms imminent in
His short-lived future.

</haiku>I think we should try some linked verse sometime hah, that'd be interesting.<//haiku>

Ventilation cries
as the blood of a demon
is spilled on the roof.

Once called Limericks,
Now known as Irish Haiku?
Poetic License!

Seriously, why are all the limericks refered to as Irish Haiku? Is there some history behind it, or is it just because we're posting on MT?

[irish_haiku]
Someone thought that the haikus were bland
And used other verse-formats here in these strands
Thus, the topic is off.
We simply (*cough*)
Say that a limerick is a haiku from Ireland
