Shame coalescing
Can you teach me to draw, please?
<I'm not here for long>

The moment of truth.
Whew, Piro didn't explode.
Yet Yuki is hurt.

Posted by: Shoka Apr 25 2002, 04:29 AM
Piro can't teach her.
Will Erika twist his arm?
Will Nanasawa?

To poor Yuki
Artistic Wisdom,
It is yours that I seek, please.
<I'm sorry, I can't.>

To piro
Her native language,
If she hears, I will be safe.
Disgust her no more.

Many schoolgirls here
Piro looks confused again.
must be his fan club.

Damn I suck at this

Argh, I read through the strip three times and I still have no inspiration. It's just too perfectly set-up for words.

Just the same, I'll try to force a double haiku. This strip just tells too much of a story for a regular haiku to cover it. Think of it like a Big Mac.

Just to get the girl
Piro crushes Yuki's hopes.
With a "fan club" speech
Erika just makes it worse.
Kimiko is stunned.

here's a haiku for you...(Hmm...I rhyme.)
Worry not artist
Your haikus are better than most.
So please stop whining.
Yes, that's the best I could do. Don't hurt me.

One for Ping-Chan, since we haven't seen her for a while.
Where are you Ping-Chan?
Your kawaiiness is quite missed
But KOPE will wait
*NOTE* KOPE is 2 syllables. (KO-PE)

A quiet moment
As the courage in her eyes
Slowly collapses

"<You... Can't?...>" Wounded child;
She's reached and failed. I'll never
Touch as he touches.

Enunciate well
And speak clearly; sell your soul
For understanding

Please don't look at me
That way... I'll show you how it
Really is, so please...

Non-Haiku entery:

In the moment,
all seems lost.
Here for a minute,
then to the wind be tossed.

A love to be,
a death unseen.
The cracking of a heart,
the fading of a soul.

Each to hear
what none wish.
Though long for one,
a simple kiss.

Another to watch,
confusion reigns.
But only in time,
shall she feel pain.

A longing for something,
to a life of not,
A single chance,
could be forgot.

The line is clear,
but none shall pass.
And all will cry,
because she asked.

Like glass, shattered dreams,
Hopes and aspirations die,
<I cannot teach you.>

Mightier than blades,
The pen deals death of a sort:
The death of her dreams

This world we live in,
Full of misunderstanding.
Just be honest, Piro.

Our Kimiko looks somewhat shaken,
By Erika's sly implication,
Of sharing,it seems,
With junior high teens,
A mutual Piro-fixation!

Been pulled away awhile; pleased to see that haiku still flows here!

While the Yuki storyline is of course heart-wrenching, was no one else struck by those glances in panels 5 & 6?

Our eyes, both askance,
brush in brief recognition.
Two hearts stop beating.

The door swings open
And a familiar form
Stands in the archway

Road-dusty, potent
Verse in hand, he is returned!
Welcome back, poet!

[inmydefense], composing for Kimiko intimidates me... I always feel a little inadequate. ^^;;[/inmydefense]
