First time trying this...

Weep for Yuki-chan
Who quests for her manga-ka
Will she find true love?

[Edit: Can't believe I forgot an s. BTW, didn't realize Rowan Bristol did all the Haiku threads. I just had a great idea I couldn't let slip away.]

Weep for Piro-kun
Who has not faith in his work.
Damn the status bar!

is it me or are they making Yuki get younger as the comic goes along, first she is 15 now she is in middle school.

But anyway I am glad that Asako has made yet another apearence in the comic. It made me wonder, why is that other girls get soo excited when one of their friends "falls in love", whats so exciting about someone else having a crush?

Tis no illusion!

Since I haven't seen anyone else mention it yet...

Did I really see...
Piro just admitted that
His art DOES kick ass!

Artist aspiration
gives into a most sad sight
he's so much like me.

[!megatokyo]
There is no set rule
Rowan does not own haiku
she just keeps odd hours

I think she could be 15 and still in middle school. She could have gotten held back She might have had an affair with her first grade teacher causing the school to throw her out. But due to the protest of the teacher Yuki was just held back. Now she substitutes her feeling for the older teacher on Piro, who just happens to be an older unattainable male. ^-^;;; Oops let my mind slipped too much.

Ermm...I don't remember how to write a haiku. Isn't it 8 syllables on first, then 5, then 8 again?

japan's school system runs 6,3,3
elementary = grade 1-6
middle school = grade 7-9
high school = grade 10-12
so Yuki's age and her being in middle school is consistent. she's in grade 9, or her final year of middle school.

Asako and Yuki
return in a new comic
but without Mami!?

--Xky *waving Mami flag, discouraged but far from spiteful*

How kawaii is
the excited Asako
about Piro-san.

It seems that Yuki
is not interested in
Piro anymore...

I wonder what this will lead to?

At the school swim meet
The pool sparkles in the sun
Yuki just as bright

Piro and Fred dance
a pas de deux of self-doubt.
Judged by his own strip?

Uh, no. If she's a "ni-nen", then she'd be second year middle school, or equivalent of 8th grade, or roughly 12-13 years old.

This topic needs its own thread, I think.
