Posted by: Master Edward Nov 19 2001, 04:14 AM
It is not a game,
yet cute girls follow his step -
A love triangle?

Posted by: Master Edward Nov 19 2001, 04:15 AM
The more things change
the more they stay all the same:
Yuki-chan is back!

Posted by: Master Edward Nov 19 2001, 04:19 AM
Brushing her dark hair
thinking of what it to come -
Yuki turns colour!

Posted by: Master Edward Nov 19 2001, 04:22 AM
Rainy, bleak morning
grey outside, grey in my heart -
Colourful Yuki!

Who am I? Not her.
Lose the sweater, sad girl hair.
Try again. As me.

[tanka]
Rarely the young see,
Embarassment matters not,
People don't notice,
But we think worse of ourselves,
Than any others we know.
[/tanka]

To Yuki I say,
"'Just ask' is the only way"
I now know this too.

At dawn I hear her.
Agonizing. All alone.
Weighing her choices.

A father's eyes blur.
I would shoulder her burden
but she must do it.

A winter morning -
New Yuki, same as the old...
Sleep does bring wisdom.

Poor, lonely Yuki.
A simple crush? Something more?
"What's he think of me?"

Sad eyed, determined
It's time to confront the truth
drama in color

yuki pretties up
how will piro act this time?
yuki's day has come

two hearts -- not "to heart"
my good friend Stuart, he says
"'to heart' needs demons"

two hearts, across town
she knows who she's looking for
he seeks, but knows not

A new beginning...
"Things Change Little by Little"
Where will the change be?

Posted by: Phaedrus Nov 19 2001, 11:03 AM
Friends don't get it-nyo.
Not a love diary-nyo!
They're immature-nyo.

Gemma can sleep-nyo.
Yuki can go alone-nyo.
Verse was easy-nyo!

(Trying to mimic
Di Gi Charat episode
eleven. Poorly.)

Lovely triangle
Yuki, shades of Hikaru?
Flying neck tackle!

Looking at Yuki
Through the eyes of her father
Is very poignant!

Thanks a lot Phaedrus!

It's now in color?
Nice, but I hope that this change
doesn't slow MT.

That nyo poem is trying to mimic the speaking style of Dejiko, from the anime Di Gi Charat, who ends every line with "-nyo". I don't know why.

The ?plot? of the poem sort of mirrors the ?plot? of episode 11 of Di Gi Charat. If you haven't seen that episode, the poem is going to be even more incomprehensible than usual. Gomen.

Lots of Di Gi Charat imagery and plot points appear in Megatokyo. This poem was inspired by the little round stuffed animal thing on Yuki's bed; it's a character called Gemma from Di Gi Charat. The original draft of the poem was written in Gemma's speaking style, but things got out of hand during editing. I'm not sure how I ended up with the final version.
