Great Teacher Largo?
We saw it coming, oh yes
Miho is nonplussed

Ramblings of p0w3r
In the new sensei's classroom
Largo warps young minds.

I cannot contain
my laughter. Largo becomes
Great Teacher Largo

Largo-sensei
desires to bring power
to his poor students.

He lays the ground Rulz
for his classroom, insuring
order or chaos.

First rule: "No camping."
Wisdom from the gaming world
Applied differently.

"Knowl3dg3 is pow3r!"
is the first lesson they learn.
"No-Rage Iz Powaa"

As the class repeats
the words of the l33t master,
Miho grows hungry.

how would you like to be in that school?you'ld have Ping aimlessly roaming the halls in search for love, Miho feeding off of cuteness, and Largo turning students into his l33t army of quake'ers.

Posted by: jamboy Jul 31 2001, 08:58 AM
Largo introduced
To his future protégés -
The future L337 youth.

During his first class
Miho, already fluent,
Turns her thoughts to food.

Kindly refrain from
speaking here without haiku.
Free your mind with words.

Posted by: Traks Jul 31 2001, 09:03 AM
Just love the engrish.
Under GTL, students
gain mad english skillz.

Oh, lovely Miho,
Why is it you pout like that?
I don't understand.

Poor school admin.
Nearly decapitated
by Largo's l33tn355.

Poor students, minds warped.
Miho looks out the window.
Largo teaches on.

KNOWl3DG3 is power
Darkly cute does not listen
Will Miho skip class?

Posted by: SilverLuz Jul 31 2001, 09:26 AM
Bare-chested Largo
The great 'rulz' of the gamer
Now applied to school

Knowl3dg3 is pow3r
Instructing with great 1337ness
Largo speaks the truth

As said years ago
Knowing is half the battle
Miho: enemy?

MT's next plot twist
Only Fred and Rodney know
Maybe Sera, too

We, the avid fans
Each one eagerly awaits
Anticipation

Largo-sensei!
How's your inner discipline?
Miho's in your class!

***

Difficult enough
to know she's out and about.
But in the same class?

What guy could study?
What guy would even notice
that he was in school?

***

[Kabuki_sound_effects]

Her glance cuts the air
She is
onna and oni...
I am defenseless

[/Kabuki_sound_effects]

***

This current chapter?
Like an old transformer, it
hums... really loudly.

[!haiku_1]Ahh... nothing like a balky Perl script to get the haiku juices flowing.[/!haiku_1]

[!haiku_2]Who's doing Otakon?[/!haiku_2]

"Beautiful fire"
lights the room.. I snuff out my
unworthy candle

Posted by: smurd Jul 31 2001, 12:38 PM
On the subject of
immature minds, d4 //4st3r
is full of crap.

(apologies to Busson)

At the over-matured sushi,
The Master
Is full of regret.

I fear my own skills
In the fine art of haiku
Are insufficient

Largo-sensei, master
of all that is L33T and good
Has some new pupils

Will they adopt his
Strange and dynamic English?
It's a scary thought

Darkly cute mutters
Bemoaning her dearth of food
What is she to do?

Largo teaches loud.
Miho! Please pay attention.
Perhaps detention.

Miho? Detention?
Perfect chance for Largo to
snuff out the 3V1L

Not so, Vaevictis.
Master Yoda had it so wrong,
To *try* is enough.

We don't shun strivers,
but welcome all with open arms
(if they stay on count!).

Practice makes perfect,
or so they say. I hope so.
-"one far from perfect!"

Capture a moment --
just as you imagine it --
clearly, and briefly

Posted by: Vaevictis Aug 1 2001, 04:52 PM
Thank you very much
For your kind encouragement
I will do my best

Perfection, I feel
Is far too lofty a goal
My best, 'tis enough

Fevered Largo raves;
"beautiful fire" smolders;
the heat is turned up.

Posted by: smurd Aug 1 2001, 07:36 PM
Miho, sweet poison:
darkly cute, stark, astute; I'm
poleaxed by that look

Posted by: Traks Aug 1 2001, 07:37 PM
Miho? A demon?
Sure to make some bodies drop?
Or just wants some lunch?

I don't know if I
would like to see more Largo
or check on Piro.

Posted by: smurd Aug 1 2001, 07:41 PM
When Miho's present,
I don't see anyone else.
So sorry, fellas.

Posted by: smurd Aug 1 2001, 07:44 PM
If she likes poems,
then I will be on her side.
There's truth in beauty.

Posted by: smurd Aug 1 2001, 07:47 PM
The girls, kawaii;
the guys, funny; but Miho
inspires poetry.

On those "Miho" days,
I just have more to say. But
I repeat myself.

Geez, those eyes of hers:
though dark, they burn like hot coals.
I can't stop looking.

Portrait of our Smurd:
posessed by the fair Miho,
he posts of naught else!

But can you blame him?
Miho is not *merely* art.
She draws us all in.

Torment for Smurd? Yes.
Yet, the haiku flow freely
Readers should rejoice!

Posted by: badass_moogle Aug 2 2001, 08:09 PM
Smurd! How you admire
The queen of evil so much
But then, so do I.

Posted by: badass_moogle Aug 2 2001, 08:22 PM
Her eyes, so narrow
Yet so seductive and cute
I just can't resist.

She's hungry? What for?
Cuteness? Beauty? Sweet Miho,
Fufill your hunger.

Road-weary, I'm back.
Forgive the time-warp; this verse
composed, but unposted:

****

Dom, eater of spleens
must relish this installment.
Largo's tough lesson:

Knowl3dg3 has its price.
Prometheus-like, they all
stand and de-liver.

Posted by: smurd Aug 4 2001, 08:06 PM
Welcome back, fella.
Up late: Pizzicato Five
and bas armagnac

keep me company.
Friday was mighty busy:
on a hefty jag,

posted three parodies
of the ol'Speed Racer theme!
(Never liked the show.)

Posted by: Phaedrus Aug 4 2001, 08:39 PM
Those parodies were
dangerous; guts were broken
in tearful laughter.

So many new folks!
Methinks we finally have
some real momentum.

Even better? Parody
from a show you liked!

My wife wants to see
an Iron Chef episode
where Morimoto

makes a fricassee
out of Bobby Flay! I feel
a poem coming...

Posted by: Phaedrus Aug 4 2001, 09:31 PM
So many secret
ingredients I'd love to
see Iron Chef-ed

Perhaps liver of
Dick Cheney, sauted lightly
in Alaskan crude?

On this site, enough
cannibalism of the
rich and the famous

has been suggested
to keep all those guys busy.
(Smurd grabs his pencil...)
