Whither Pirogoeth?
Path of destruction is cut.
Hail the King, Baby.

OT: where'd your sig come from, Dracos? It sounds similar to a line from "Haywire" by Aztec Camera...

His secret weapon:
shojo manga fighting tips.
(Solves all life's problems).

Largo's big mistake:
inexplicably, l33t-one
was playing sober.

After slaughtering
"l33t m4s+er," how smug I feel
in the aftermath

(apologies to Shiki)

After killing
a spider, how lonely I feel
in the cold of night

Pride goeth before
a fall; but Pirogoeth
prevaileth 'gainst all.

A great gathering.
Mighty gamers battle for
Honor and ego.

Each has his turn as
Leader. One by one they fall
victim of Piro.

The smoke starts to clear:
Pirogoeth stands atop
the list of frag count.

Largo, the l33t, must
once again accept defeat
from his quiet friend.

To stay topical,
I must answer in Haiku
To Echo's query.

"Temple Of Love" by
The Sisters of Mercy is
My .sig's origin.

In Temple of Love
Shine Like Thunder, Cry Like Rain
Devil In Black Dress.

It is difficult
To "haiku-ify" lyrics
By Andrew Eldritch.

Quake; and once again,
despite l33t k0mb4t ski11z, each
game turns into rout

(apologies to Shiki)

Night; and once again,
the while I wait for you, cold wind
turns into rain

Winning the Quake fest,
kicking weenie comic butts --
the strip's artist won.

(aplogies to Issa)

losing the contest
surprise, surprise
the lordís mum won

buncha "l33t" gamerz
bludgeoned off their high horses
taste of sour grapes

(apologies to Issa)

a lord
forced off his horse
cherry blossoms

The force of darkness
Lures the rejected from
Light into itself.

(I made that one a couple years back, and it remids me SO much of Ping. And for a long while, it reminded me of myself. Then again, the Oingo Boing song "Only a lad" reminds me of Ping. But still.)

Disco's complete dark
converts life into a full
blackness of the heart.

(The definative "Disco is evil" haiku.)

Examine closely
the link itself if you can
for something's doubled.

Much of a muchness?
aitch tee tee pee colon slash
slash not needed twice!

Whew that was too hard
I prefer praising Miho
to techie blather.

Did I just say that?
He who spoke of the Zen-ness
of K&R C code!

Posted by: Phaedrus Jul 12 2001, 04:24 PM
Incardine, both those
poems ran icy fingers down
my spine. Well-spoke, sir!

But dear, sw33t Ping-chan?
Drawn to 3vil? Surely you
must mean dark Miho?

Though spawn of 3vil
3mpire, Ping's innocence shines
for all who would look.

Miho, dressed as Goth,
might listen to the siren
lament of the dark.

But our Undead Queen
would balk at disco, I think.
"Stayin' Alive?" Nope.

Ah! But certainly
Parapara must have been
spawned by some evil?

Posted by: mimuspolyglotis Jul 12 2001, 05:57 PM
Speak evil of ParaPara?
I unleash the hounds of hell,
Or a Ping-chan scorned!

ParaPara, god's own dance
Kawaii Ko-Gals in short skirts
Makes my mind go blank

Ah, but what about
"Disco Inferno"? Or "Let's
Dance" by Thin White Duke?

(Wine and music by
the Pillows (flcl)
makes me light-headed.)

the key phrase there is
"Lured the rejected from
Light into itself."

It seems much like Ping
Goes Absolutely insane
When she's rejected.

What other reason
Would she lift and throw buses
than rejection's curse?

The curse of the force
of rejection brings darkness
to the kindest hearts.

The little fact that
The evil empire hasn't
Accounted for rejection

Is what has driven
Largo's rejection of Ping
to make light darkness

(ignore this one line.)
For however short a time.
(ignore this one too.)

That was a good talk
In my humble opinion
What do you think, man?

Posted by: Phaedrus Jul 12 2001, 07:27 PM
Unassailable
logic, Incardine. Scorn would
darken any soul.

(Ignore this one line)?
I would chide, but beats are right.
(5 beat punchline here).

****

ParaPara - I
was blissfully unaware.
Betrayed by Google.
