| A dream your heart held
Shattered by base disregard
Pain unchecked by time

| *Largo's point of view*
Many kinds of scars.
All pain kept deep within us.
Death of trust stings most.
*Erika's point of view*
This is so surreal. What's next?
Oh, it's flashback time!

Help and advice he can give,
He has seen her pain

when trusted ground shifts
With two hosts, at least ten thousand strong,
I observed, as I looked o'er that throng,
"Their swords are sharp, but
"The unkindest of cuts
"Will be made by a friend who went wrong."
let mourning fade with the dream,
let pain run out through the cracks.

| irish haiku:
(in honour of st patty's day today )
When one bears with the brutality
of a friend-enduced fatality
it's hard to go on,
you'll not sing a song
but you can log off to face reality

| Cruelest cut of all
From out of the familiar
Comes the killing stroke

| Important virtue.
Trust: not easy to rebuild
Once it has been cut
(Eh, why not, Irish haiku)
We all speak in song and not twaddle
All the knights walk strong, not waddle
We stand tall with pride
With castle by side
Whoops, it's only a model

Shifts in the surface
Reveal the darkness beneath

| Painful memories
unable to shake them loose
eating you alive.

| Seeing the tribulation
Watching the horror
Denial it's your life
Words have no power
They control our hearts
Actions are caused by words
Hearts weak but free
Finally opening up
Grow strong together

Stops a life's journey.
A infected wound,
Reopened to bleed cleanly.
Healing can now begin.
Love grows not in poisoned earth:
Delicate flower withers.

Less substantial than the air
Was his love for her

| it's been far too long
since we've done this sort of thing;
let's keep it going!
tuck and roll,
then take your stand on
anodyne roughly applied
may still heal effectively.
that house tumbled to ruins,
rue grew among the debris.

Her hopes built on empty air,
A foundationless future.
Heh! But I've done it http://forums.megatokyo.com/index.php?showtopic=1702859&view=findpost&p=3920950
Firm ground is useless
If one will not walk.

Concealed the dragon from view
The flames seen too late
[!haiku] Making Shakespeare spin in his grave for the win! [/!haiku]

when the girl
regains her center,
she will walk
not flowers, but fanboy flesh
concealed the fiendish spirit!
[!haiku]heh...let's make the ol' bard spin faster![/!haiku]

Walk forth and trample
Her foes 'neath her feet
Bound by treachery,
[!haiku] Nice to see you again, AH.[/!haiku]

Shades of Conan the Barbarian!
[Shameless Conan ripoff]
From the Akihabara Chronicles.
"... Hither came Erika the cynical, black-haired, sullen-eyed, coffee in hand,
a idoru, a model, an armbreaker, with gigantic angst and gigantic *ahem*,
to tread the jeweled thrones of the earth under her slippered feet."
[/Shameless Conan ripoff]
Rising from a tomb:
[!haiku]Thank you, Mae. It's good to be back. Nekura's fangirling was also good from my ego! [/!haiku]
What path does she take,
on this new journey?
* Not many people are going to get that reference!
Indeed. Cooperative verse is an interesting exercise, and one I find enjoyable.

[!Haiku]Always glad to oblige, AH! You've been absent for a long time...missed ya![/!Haiku]
[!Haiku]We might wanna 'splain it for the newer folks though...don't wanna leave people out...
I am going to leave out the fancy terms for the different parts (cuz I'm being blonde and can't remember them), but how it works is this:
Someone writes a haiku 5-7-5 then someone *quotes* that person and adds their own bit in two lines, each 7 syllables.
and so on...it can be a lot of fun!
A Warrior heart
Can bear many travesties
Save for betrayal

[!haiku]Feel the love! [/!haiku]
Such wounds never heal cleanly,
A legacy of lasting scars.

or trust nevermore;
light or dark.
is a memory of pain;
some call this wisdom.
Now this parody by the Hamsterian,
That derived from a famous Cimmerian,
For a girl among men
With gigantic *ahem*,
Makes me wonder what bottle of beer he's on.
