Life on power-poles,
The scenes far and wide like toys,
Just like the people.

Up on high she sits,
List'ning and watching things squirm,
Playing the questions.

Attire dark angel,
Oh how far your gaze reaches,
As so touch akin.

Perched atop her web
She spins out another snare
"Do you still love me?"

A shared loneliness
Across the digital plain
It was lovely, then

Sarcasm, sure. But
maybe a hint of longing?
Do you still love me?

I knew she'd pull something like this ever since she asked Piro if Ping was more real to him than her--and Largo had to be covered up in sheet metal. ^^

But the keyword that interests me is "still". Just what hapened in that game that Fred isn't telling us?

Secrets and puzzles do I weave,
Like a pretty spider's web.
Give you words and rope
To wrap yourself in my thread.

[haiku?]

Still enigmatic
she pierces the fog quickly:
"Do you still love me?"

Unexpected love
blossoming within a game
between two strangers

[irish haiku?]

On a pole, on a cold windy day,
sits a girl, in a turtleneck grey.
With a call to a guy,
we see fur and sparks fly;
big changes are coming this way.

Solemn night reveals
The tangle grows more complex
Five red strings now bind [1]

Painted gaze, soft voice
An emptiness, masked longing
Darkness yearns for light

([1]= For those unaquainted with eastern folklore, legend says that an invisible "red string of fate" ties a person and their destined beloved throughout all eternity.)

QUOTE (Rowan Bristol @ Jan 26 2004, 05:54 AM)
A shared loneliness
Across the digital plain
It was lovely, then

and when we play together
then i feel truly alive.

[irish_haiku]
We see Miho back up on her roost,
With a great-coat, black tights and big boots,
Like a hunter she spies
On her prey, then lets fly
With the razor-tipped arrows she shoots.

Reaching past the real
Truth lies in digital planes
"Do you still love me?"

wing'd raven ponders
upon this midwinters eve
deadly dance long past

hunted by her prey
perched up and poised to follow
Piro tracks in snow

hand covers heart's beat;
smile crosses cold features
who's feelings are these?

Attire dark angel,
Oh how far your gaze reaches,

And upon her lofty perch, contemplates
She of word-weaving, scheming and waits
her mesmerized audience, beyond computer screen
Each of them wondering "What does she mean?"

Glad to see you back in the swing of things, mon ami. ^ ~

belladonna grows
on lightpoles; in defiance
of expectations

Posted by: killmoms Jan 27 2004, 11:28 PM
[Irish haiku]
"Can you hear me?" this one doesn't say,
For she's on the prowl for her prey.
A piece she will set
In her game—she's a vet;
he's sure to be flustered for a day.
[/Irish haiku]

Or two.

Probably more.

[renga]
But then the game ends
Return to sanctuary
And call you again

[double the renga; take your pick]
Expectations are defied
By Miho's questions, too. "Huh?"
