Not exactly a rescript, since it doesn't reinterpret much. Oh well.

|Heh. I wondered how the rescripters were going to tackle this one. Great idea, and nicely done.|

| Wow! You really set yourself a challenge on this one BT!
Very nicely done - the whole strip in haiku! Who'd a' thought it?
Well, you, of course. Nice, nice work!

|Wow. I really think haiku is cool but to see it so well merged with the image as a rescript rocks!|

The Further Adventures of Nick Danger, (http://www.firesigntheatre.com/)
Staring Piro as Nick Danger
and Yuki as Rocky Rococo
wonderful and somehow still not dated parody of thirties detective shows, i.e.:
From the Firesign Theater album How Can You Be in Two Places at Once When You're Not Anywhere at All?

|Firesign Theater FTW!|

| Whoa!!! Firesign Theatre!! A pristine rush-type blast from the past!! Whew!
I love it!!
Thanks for the hit, man.

| Blast from the past and for once I do not know what it is...
I don't rember what a Firesidetheater was 40 years ago
But 20 years ago I used to work at a Rocky Rococo pizza chain in Illinois.

It helped if you were kinda zoned into the counter-culture of the '60s and 70s. The Firesign Theatre did comedy radio shows and thematic albums at that time (had a show called "Radio Free Oz" running in L.A. for a number of years). Spoofing the conventions of the day in most amusing ways - and the variety of voices they could do were amazing. Check out the MP3 cfrbatt provided for a taste.
Oh, and the idea of a Rocky Roccoco pizza shop just makes me chuckle - had to be inspired by the FST!
BTW, my favorite album of theirs was Everything You Know Is Wrong!

|Sorry - double post. No patience. My bad.
My favorite user question when I was doing tech support for AOL back in '95 was, "Is the Internet down?"

Triple. No big, but some mod might want to remove one of the twin posts. And I notice the new Kaorien avatar now.
Hmm... cfrbatt did awesome, but now you guys have real words to rescript.

Arrrgh!! Very good Cap'n!! Very, very funny!! Gosh, this is fun!
You better pull your cues up out of the celophane before they scorch!

| Very good Cap'n! I still enjoy these. One of my favorites is "I think we're all bozos on this bus", which we physics types promptly renamed to "I think we're all bosons on this bus", just to show how truely geeky we were. (think http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bose%E2%80%93Einstein_statistics)
And I always loved the creation myth from "Future Fair":
